Doña Ana County residents invited to participate in community survey

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Residents in Las Cruces and Doña Ana County are invited to participate in the National Community Survey to provide direct input into local government decision-making processes, according to the City of Las Cruces. The National Community Survey is an online survey that 'was developed in partnership with the International City/County Management Association in 2001 to provide cities and counties with a scientific survey of resident opinions and an important benchmarking tool that allows for comparison among communities,' according to the City of Las Cruces. In addition, the City said the survey is used for residents to provide direct input to the local government decision-making process. Residents can access the survey here for the English version and here for the Spanish version. According to the City, the survey includes 33 questions for residents to provide answers and comments. The survey takes roughly 20 minutes to complete. The National Community Survey will be available until Thursday, May 8. Once residents have answered the questions, they will be asked to provide their ZIP code to confirm where they live, according to the City. 'The ZIP code allows the City to be sure they are hearing from each person only once and see which general area of the city respondents live,' the City said. According to the City of Las Cruces, the survey responses will remain anonymous and residents can choose to provide an email address that will allow the City to easily contact them if there are future questions. Businesses, residents invited to participate in surveys about Moline services

The City of Moline is conducting two important surveys – one for residents and one for businesses – to gather feedback on government services and assess the quality of life in Moline, according to a news release. The results from both surveys will inform the city's upcoming strategic plan, ensuring that Moline's future is shaped by the voices of both its residents and business owners. Over the next few weeks, randomly selected households will receive invitations to complete the National Community Survey. Those selected are encouraged to follow the enclosed instructions and participate. The survey will then open to all residents in the coming weeks, and those interested can sign up for a notification when it becomes available here. Moline businesses will also receive the National Business Survey to share their experiences, challenges and priorities. Business owners are encouraged to participate to help the city strengthen Moline's business environment. Mayor Sangeetha Rayapati emphasized the importance of survey participation: 'Moline's success is built on collaboration between our city government and the people who live and work here. We value resident and business owner feedback year-round, but as we shape our Strategic Plan, your voice is more important than ever. This survey is your opportunity to directly influence the city's priorities and help guide Moline's future. If you receive a survey, please take a few moments to complete it – it's a small effort with a big impact on our community.' City Administrator Bob Vitas echoed this sentiment, encouraging participation: 'If you choose to participate in the survey, we thank you for your valuable time. Know that we take the process of engaging the community seriously and the overall survey results will help to guide the City leadership over the next several years to further improve and enhance Moline as a place to live, work and play.' Belton seeks input on quality of life and services provided

Belton, Tx (FOX 44) – The City of Belton is sending out a resident survey to get input on government services and measure the quality of life in the community. The City plans to use this data in its upcoming strategic plan. The survey allows more people to participate in shaping that plan and the future of Belton. 'We look forward to receiving more input from residents to guide our strategic planning efforts,' City Manager Sam Listi said. 'The survey will help us get a baseline understanding of our services and allow us to measure our impact going forward.' The National Community Survey was developed by the National Research Center and is designed to capture opinions on the economy, mobility, community design, utilities, safety, natural environment, inclusivity, engagement, and other elements of Belton's overall livability. The results will show Belton's strengths, areas of improvement, and what matters most to residents. The City will also be able to see how its performance compares to other communities across the country. Randomly selected households will receive mailed survey invitations over the next few weeks. Households that receive an invitation are asked to follow the enclosed instructions and complete the survey. All residents will have the opportunity to share their input in a few weeks, when the survey becomes available to the entire community. 'We strongly encourage all residents to take the survey. The more people who participate, the better data we will have to inform our planning efforts,' Listi said. 'This is an opportunity for everyone in the community to share their thoughts and shape the future of Belton.' The survey closes on May 1, 2025. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc.
