Australia's top university to open first campus in India, eyes Mumbai
In a move likely to reshape the future of global education in India, the University of Western Australia (UWA), a distinguished institution known for its academic excellence, has formally approached the University Grants Commission (UGC) with a proposal to establish branch campuses across primary centre of operations, should approvals be granted, shall be in Mumbai, a city already brimming with scholarly founded in 1911 and ranked among the top 100 universities globally, now stands ready to become the first from Australia's elite Group of Eight to root its presence physically upon Indian soil.
