Wendy's hosts Girl Scout cookie sales, debuts Thin Mints Frosty
Wendy's is serving up a new Thin Mints Frosty and more than 4,200 restaurants are ready to host Girl Scout cookie booths.
The big picture: Girl Scout cookie sales will launch this weekend at participating restaurants in the fast-food chain.
Wendy's confirmed to Axios that as of Thursday more than 1,500 restaurants had already booked 8,300 boothing appointments.
The new Frosty flavor inspired by the most popular Girl Scout cookie flavor debuts Friday nationwide during National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend, when the cookies are also widely available.
National Girl Scout Weekend kicks off online cookie sales
Girl Scouts of the USA announced its National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend is Feb. 21-23.
National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend marks when "every zip code can order their favorite Girl Scout Cookies for direct delivery to their front door using the nationwide Girl Scout Cookie Finder," the organization says.
The Girl Scout Cookie Finder also shows where cookies are available for purchase at local booths.
Walmart, Wendy's and more to have Girl Scout cookie booths
The Girl Scouts notes that Walmart, Sam's Club and Wendy's are "national cookie boothing partners."
Participating Walmart and Sam's Club locations will host booths at select locations through April with start dates varying by location.
Participating Wendy's locations kick off cookie sales on Saturday, per the Girl Scouts.

Wendy's Thin Mints Frosty
Zoom in: The Thin Mints Frosty is available in two flavors for a limited time.
John Li, Wendy's vice president of research and development, said a fudge-like cookie butter developed together with the Girl Scouts can be swirled into either the classic chocolate or vanilla Frosty.
"You can't get more nostalgic than a Wendy's Frosty and the Girls Scouts," Li said, noting many in Wendy's senior leadership were Girl Scouts as kids.
Kelly's taste test: Axios got an early taste of the two new Frosty flavors and both flavors tasted like the classic cookie. But warning, it was hard to pick a favorite.
Li thinks consumers should try both and suggests dipping Girl Scout cookies in.
Girl Scout cookie prices 2025
State of play: Girl Scout cookie season officially kicked off in early January and runs through April, but timing varies based on location.
This cookie season is the last for two flavors — S'mores and Toast-Yay — which will be retired after this season.
Cookie prices vary by region but many boxes cost $6 each.
