Our statewide Student of the Week poll features two students who lead the way by example
It's a new month, and our statewide Student of the Week poll is back in its 19th round. This week, both students exemplify their schools' highest values, according to their nominators.
Read what the people who nominated these high school students say about them below, and then vote in our poll to determine who should take the title of Wisconsin Student of the Week.

"Riley exemplifies the Raider Way. He always is prepared and ready for class. He is also a true leader within school, by helping lead group discussions or helping other students. He is respectful and is kind to all of his classmates. Riley is an exceptional student here at PHS. Riley has won the Presidential Academic Award, Academic Achievement Award, Spanish Excellence Award and Academic Highest Honors. He leads by example and is a role model in the classroom. Riley gets involved outside of the classroom, as well. He is the vice president of National Honors Society, a member of Leo Club, a homeroom leader, and a junior class officer. He is also included in soccer and tennis. Riley's commitment to both academics and extracurriculars makes him a true role model in the PHS community."

"Chantel is a Messmer gem! She excels in anything she attempts. Chantel is actively involved in not only her academics, but out in the community. She has a passion for helping others, and it shows through her actions. Chantel is not only a student at MHS but she is an active participant in the Greater Milwaukee Urban League program, she is a Versiti participant and has paid apprenticeship at the Versiti Blood Center of Wisconsin. She volunteers at St. Ben's Community Meals feeding those individuals in need. Chantel, we are so proud of you and the contributions you have made this far as a Bishop. Continue shining! Chantel plans on continuing her education at Concordia University majoring in nursing this fall."

This week's poll runs from Monday, March 3, until noon Thursday, March 6. We will announce the winner online March 7 at and and in our newspapers on Sunday, March 9. Happy voting!
