NSJA to host sports carnival for journalists in conjunction with National Journalist's Day this May 29

MIRI (May 2): A sports carnival for media professionals will be among the highlights of the upcoming National Journalist's Day celebration on May 29.
Northern Sarawak Journalists Association (NSJA) president Chai Chon Chin made the announcement during the association's Family Day event, held at the Gymkhana Club Miri (GCM) on Thursday.
'Active participation in such events can foster team spirit and promote a healthy lifestyle among journalists,' said Chain, underscoring the value of social engagement within the media community.
Reflecting on the significance of the Family Day, Chai noted that such gatherings help to strengthen bonds among NSJA members while fostering a caring, harmonious network of mutual support.
The event was attended by over 50 journalists from various media organisations, along with their family members.
Among the activities were a friendly pickleball game and a relaxing swimming session.
Also present at the event was NSJA vice president Clare Cinderella Kom.
