Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Corridor: Siemens Consortium Secures ₹4,100 Crore Signalling Deal for Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train, ET Infra

Advt ETCS Level 2 to support 350 km/h operations By , ETInfra The National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has awarded a ₹4,100-crore contract to a consortium comprising Dineshchandra R Agrawal Infracon, Siemens, and Siemens Mobility GmbH. The contract covers the signalling and telecommunications systems for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail corridor , a key component of India's National Rail Plan the total order value, Siemens's share stands at ₹1,230 crore. The company will be responsible for the design, installation, and long-term maintenance of European Train Control System (ETCS) Level 2-based signalling and train control technologies. The execution period is 54 months, with Siemens also tasked with providing maintenance services for 15 ETCS Level 2 system to be deployed by Siemens is designed to support train operations at speeds up to 350 km/h. It enables real-time train supervision, continuous wireless communication, and centralised traffic management. ETCS Level 2 is currently operational in more than 50 the contract award, Sunil Mathur, managing director and CEO of Siemens, said, 'As a consortium, we are proud to partner with National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited, in the high-speed rail project.
