Naturally Lewis to present Economic Development Conference
Jun. 8—LYONS FALLS — Naturally Lewis will host an Economic Development Conference this week at 3 Willows Event Center, 3950 Route 12. The day begins with registration at 8 a.m. Wednesday, followed by the program — titled If Not You, Then Who? from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a break for lunch and concluding with a happy hour. During the program the winners of the Student Pitch Competition will be announced. The Economic Development Conference will bring entrepreneurs and small business owners, business and community leaders, municipal leaders, and nonprofit leaders from across Northern New York together to inspire and champion growth in our communities. "This event is about more than just ideas," said a Naturally Lewis spokesperson. "We believe that real economic development starts with people. After all, if it's not you making the change you want to see, then who will? Keynote speaker for the event will be Jeff Siegler with his presentation — Revitalize, Or Die. The session explores how the way communities are built impacts civic pride and why reinvesting in walkable, human-scale places — where people have a stake in their surroundings — is the key to reversing disengagement and restoring community identity. New tourism promotion unveiled through Naturally Lewis
Apr. 9—LOWVILLE — Naturally Lewis, Inc. has unveiled its refreshed digital brand for tourism promotion in Lewis County and the Tug Hill Region — Discover Tug Hill. "Discover Tug Hill is more than a brand, it is a call to action" said Kristen Ward Aucter, Director of Tourism at Naturally Lewis Inc. "By creating a bold brand for tourism promotion we are able to showcase the attractions and experiences of our community, from the Tug Hill to the Western edge of the Adirondack Park, and provide the hub for visitors and community members to be in-the-know on happenings in our community." Naturally Lewis Inc. has been appointed as the official tourism promotion agency for Lewis County by the Lewis County Board of Legislators. With a new brand for tourism promotion, Naturally Lewis has developed a formal regional partnership with tourism agencies to promote the entirety of the Tug Hill Region in addition to Lewis County. "Tourism is the front door to economic development" said Brittany Davis, executive director of Naturally Lewis, Inc. "By partnering with Jefferson, Oneida and Oswego counties, we are removing boundaries in promoting the experiences of the Tug Hill as a whole and providing a one-stop platform for visitors and community members to stay in-the-know."
