RSS cadres urged to rise above caste, embrace Hedgewar's vision of nation first

Nagpur: Remembering Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh ( RSS ) founder Dr Keshav Baliram Hedgewar 's efforts in expanding the organisation nationally within just 15 years of its inception, senior RSS leader Ajay Navghare urged volunteers to transcend caste divisions and commit themselves to the nation's welfare with disciplined dedication. Addressing the inaugural session of the Vidarbha Prant Sangh Shiksha Varg in Akola on Saturday, Navghare invoked Hedgewar's legacy to reinforce the values of selflessness, integrity, and unity. He called upon the 333 participating trainees from across Vidarbha to embody the Sangh's ideal, quoting the organisation's guiding mantra: "Fire in the heart, ice on the head, agility in the feet, and sweetness on the lips." The 15-day camp, being held at Jubilee English School in Kumbhari, aims to strengthen both ideological commitment and physical discipline among swayamsevaks . Navghare emphasised that the RSS was built on the principles of unconditional love, collective strength, and moral rectitude, which remain essential in creating responsible citizens. Through rigorous daily routines, physical drills, and intellectual discourse, the camp seeks to cultivate these values and address questions related to national identity and service. He urged swayamsevaks to use the RSS centenary as an opportunity to deepen their engagement with the organisation — be it through part-time or full-time voluntary work — while stressing the importance of rising above caste lines for national unity . Senior RSS leaders Ulhas Boporikar and Shridhar Gadge also addressed the gathering. The ceremony began with a tribute to Bharat Mata. On the occasion, a service fund collected by swayamsevaks during Ram Navami outreach was handed over to Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram representatives Bhaskar Rao Rokde and Prakash Bhutada, in support of tribal welfare initiatives.
