Bangladesh confirm T20I tour of Pakistan following conflict with India

Pakistan
has confirmed that
Bangladesh
's Twenty20 cricket tour will proceed with three matches instead of the originally planned five, following security concerns raised after recent cross-border conflicts with India.
The matches will be played in Lahore after negotiations between the two cricket boards.
The tour was initially in doubt after India and Pakistan experienced their worst conflict in decades, lasting four days before a ceasefire was reached.

The conflict also impacted other cricket events, with Pakistan forced to reschedule its
Pakistan Super League
(PSL) after a ten-day break. The Indian Premier League was also disrupted during this period.

"PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi... convinced them of full security and the series now comprises three T20Is instead of five," stated the
Pakistan Cricket Board
in a press release.
The revised series will likely take place after the PSL final scheduled for May 25. The new dates for the Bangladesh tour are yet to be confirmed.

The successful negotiations came after addressing security concerns raised by some Bangladesh players about touring Pakistan.
