KUALA LUMPUR: A Malaysian woman has charmed netizens with her fluent Tamil after a video of her speaking the language went viral on social media.
In a TikTok video making the rounds online, Ayien Elvina shared how Tamil became her first language at home despite her mixed parentage.
Her father is of Chinese-Indian descent, while her mother is a Malay.
"My dad's main language is Tamil, so from a young age, my siblings and I were brought up speaking it," she said in the post.
The video quickly gained traction, with many Malaysians amazed by her fluency, and equally charmed by her striking looks.
"You're already gorgeous, but speaking Tamil makes you ten times more beautiful," commented user Nelchu.
Others applauded her multicultural background as a reflection of Malaysia's diversity.
"This is what 1Malaysia really looks like. Let's celebrate all our cultures together," wrote Suha Nair.
"Your mum's stunning, and your dad even looks Malay — no wonder you and your siblings are all good-looking," said Vima.
"No wonder you're this beautiful — your mum and dad are both attractive!" added Rangga Paduri.
