"The Fragrance of Nepalese Tea": A Cultural and Artistic Celebration at Misr Public Library on May 21

As part of the celebration of International Tea Day, the Misr Public Library in Giza is hosting a unique cultural and artistic event titled "Tea and Caricature" on Wednesday, May 21.
The event will begin at 4:00 PM and will be attended by Sushil Kumar Lamsal, Ambassador of Nepal to Egypt, and Director of the Misr Public Libraries Fund Ambassador Reda El-Tayfi, as well as a group of caricaturists, journalists, media professionals, and the general public.
In this context, artist Fawzy Morsy, who came up with the idea of the celebration, said that the event is the first of its kind to celebrate tea culture through the art of caricature.
He emphasized that tea is not just a beverage, but a daily ritual that carries messages of friendship and love, and a universal language that unites people.
Morsy added that the celebration highlights the ancient Nepalese tea culture, where a cup of tea becomes a bridge of communication between people, whether in homes or on mountain trails.
The celebration program includes the opening of a caricature exhibition featuring 65 artworks by approximately 60 artists representing 25 Arab and foreign countries.

The exhibition opening will be followed by a symposium titled "The Fragrance of Nepalese Tea,' which will include speeches by Ambassador El-Tayfi and Ambassador Sushil.
The celebration will also feature a presentation on Nepalese tea will be given by Madhab Raj, Third Secretary of the Embassy of Nepal in Cairo, and conclude with a tea tasting of authentic Nepalese tea, which hold tastes of Nepal's rich heritage, bring to an end a unique cultural experience where flavors blend with art.
