'We want to remind everyone that while vehicles continue to be broken into and stolen overnight, these incidents can occur at any time of day.' DeFelice said a majority of vehicle thefts involve a car that is left unlocked with the key fob inside. He reminded residents to lock their vehicles and keep their keys with them. He also encouraged anyone whose vehicle is stolen to immediately call 911 and avoid engaging with the thief. 'We want to keep our residence safe and make everyone aware of criminal activity that occurs in our town,' DeFelice said.
