Man vandalizes intersex Pride flag in Lancaster County; police investigating

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — Police are searching for a man who was caught on video vandalizing an intersex-inclusive pride flag in Lancaster County. According to the New Holland Police Department, authorities are looking into a string of thefts and acts of vandalism that occurred in the 200 block of West Main Street. Video surveillance released by police depicts a masked male approaching a flag pole and using a sharp object to cut down and slash the intersex-inclusive Pride flag before leaving the scene. Police say the flag has been stolen and damaged on multiple occasions. NEW HOLLAND, Pa. (WHTM) – Police have charged a Lancaster County man for allegedly exposing himself at public parks and stalking an individual in their car. The New Holland Police Department says on June 25, 2024, they received a stalking report where the victim was being followed from Yoder's Country Market to Main Street and 322, and then back to the market. Police say the vehicle and its owner, Robert Bard, were connected to indecent exposure events at Groff Park, St. Stephen's Cemetery, Ephrata Township Park, and Long's Park. Police launched an investigation involving multiple parks and say Bard was arrested for allegedly exposing himself in the parks and cemetery. State Police investigating juvenile's Fulton County roadrage incident Bard was charged with stalking, four counts of indecent exposure, and six counts of open lewdness. The police department issued a statement saying the registration process informs the department of the presence of a camera without granting them access to any footage. Police said this would positively contribute to police investigations. Members of the community are encouraged to register their camera through here.
