Ministry of Education honours NMS for TIMSS 2023 excellence
The Honorable Minister of Education, Dr. Mohamed bin Mubarak Juma Honored New Millennium School by facilitating the school principal and science and mathematics educators for the outstanding performance of the students in TIMSS (Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study) 2023. The school has been placed in the high category for Science and Mathematics. Even where there is a drop in International Average in 2023 TIMSS as compared to 2019 TIMSS, the NMS average has remarkably shown an upward trend. The school average in the TIMSS is much higher than the International Average. The results reflect the school's strong commitment to academic excellence, innovative teaching methods, and a robust STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) curriculum. TIMSS, conducted by the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement (IEA), is administered every four years and assesses trends in student performance across more than 60 countries. The assessment provides valuable data that helps schools and policymakers improve educational outcomes. The school management expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Education for giving an opportunity to be the part of TIMSS Exam and for facilitating the mentors by the Honourable Minister of Education, Dr. Mohamed bin Mubarak Juma. Congratulating the students and staff, Principal, Dr Arun Kuumar Sharma said that the remarkable achievement is a testament to the hard work of the students, the expertise and commitment of the dedicated teachers, and the support of the school community. He further added that the school is proud to see its students not only meeting but exceeding international benchmarks in Math and Science. School Chairman Dr. Ravi Pillai and Managing Director, Geetha Pillai congratulated the students and their mentors for their commendable performance.

NMS girls seal CBSE Bahrain cluster basketball title
New Millennium School lifted the Girls' Basketball title for the fourth consecutive year in the CBSE Cluster (Bahrain Chapter) Inter-School competition. All CBSE schools in Bahrain participated in the annual event. NMS overwhelmed their opponents in the finals with a score of 18:0 emerging as winners. The NMS team members were : Ayati Subandh, Toshani Mukherjee, Izzah Shihab, Ameya Iyer, Diya Dixit, Zarah Sajid, Anya Dudeja, Isha Patil, Aadhya Girish, Sagarika Nayak, Disha Mangalpadi, Ruhin Dinesh. Chairman Dr Ravi Pillai, Managing Director, Geetha Pillai and Principal Dr Arun Kuumar Sharma congratulated the students and coach for the laudable achievement.

New Millennium School marks Science and Computer Science Week with hands-on learning
SK The New Millennium School in Bahrain observed Science and Computer Science Week from 11 to 15 May 2025, engaging students in a variety of interactive activities to explore the role of science and technology in everyday life and the future. Students participated in experiments and showcased models demonstrating concepts such as balloon-powered cars, the human heart and lungs, periscopes, infinity mirrors, burglar alarms, satellite communication systems, and solar ovens. gjhgjk The activities encouraged observation, analysis, and application of scientific principles. Campaigns were also held to raise awareness about cyber safety, electricity conservation, sustainable development, and food wastage. Special assemblies and Inter-House Quiz competitions were conducted for students from Grades III to XII. An in-house exhibition featured student projects, while others designed mobile applications and created animated stories focused on the Sustainable Development Goals. The week focused on promoting experiential, activity-based learning as a foundation for understanding scientific and technological advancements. gjg

New Millennium School celebrates double success in CBSE exams
The New Millennium School in Bahrain has demonstrated exceptional academic performance in both the Grade XII All India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE) and the Grade X All India Secondary Examination for the 2024-2025 academic year, achieving a 100 percent pass rate in both. In the Grade XII examinations, all 148 students successfully passed, with a significant 34 percent scoring 90 percent and above, and 80.4 percent achieving distinction. Notably, 40 percent of the students earned A grades in all subjects. The school also celebrated numerous perfect scores of 100 in subjects including Accountancy, Applied Mathematics, Chemistry, Engineering Graphics, English, Marketing, Mathematics, Physical Education, and Psychology. Dhruvi Jatin Karia topped the school with 99.2 percent. Similarly, the Grade X results saw all 149 students pass, with an even higher percentage, 47 percent, scoring 90 percent and above, and 85.2 percent achieving distinction. In this cohort, 28 percent of students secured A grades in all subjects. Six students achieved a perfect score in French, and four students scored full marks in Mathematics. Neha Kriti Denthumdas emerged as the Grade X topper with 99 percent. The consistent high performance across both grade levels underscores the school's commitment to academic excellence. The school's management and principal have congratulated the students, faculty, and parents for their dedication and hard work in achieving these outstanding results.
