Lucia Mar's Central Coast New Tech High School watched 57 students get their diplomas Saturday morning.
According to the district, 47% of the graduates are headed to four-year universities — and 12 of those students are headed to Cal Poly. The district also listed Loyola Marymount, Pepperdine and Penn State among the campuses chosen by the New Tech graduates.
Another 47% of the graduates are on their way to community colleges, while 6% plan to immediately join the workforce.
Overall, the students earned more than $130,000 in scholarships, the district said.
Saturday's ceremony also celebrated three valedictorians: Magnus Ling and Hannah Pankratz, who are headed to UC Davis; and Riley Reeves, who is headed to UC Berkeley.
