England Vs West Indies 2nd T20I Live Score: Follow Scorecard And Important Updates From Bristol

England vs West Indies 2nd T20I Live Score: Hello and a very warm welcome to News18 CricketNext's live coverage of the second T20I between England and West Indies at County Ground, Bristol. Having won the first match at Chester-le-Street, England are aiming to win their second series on the trot and make Harry Brook's start as the new white-ball captain even better. In that first match, it was the previous skipper, Jos Buttler, who excelled with a captain's knock in his first T20 appearance since stepping down, leading the hosts to a 21-run victory. Buttler scored 96 off 59 balls, displaying an array of unorthodox shots as England set a total of 188-6. In the second innings, Liam Dawson, making a return to international cricket after nearly three years, impressed with career-best T20I figures of 4-20. Given the new ball by the new white-ball captain Harry Brook, Dawson struck early and later dismissed Rutherford, Chase, and Powell, limiting the West Indies to 167-9. After the match, Brook said that England's use of 12 overs of spin, with contributions from Adil Rashid and Jacob Bethell, was part of his strategy to prepare for the T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka. Such balanced thinking between future and present has always been a good characteristic of the BazBall era — but can they do it again against a West Indies side that'll be desperate to get their first win? We'll find out! Squads:

India A vs England Lions Live Score, 2nd Unofficial Test Day 2: Kamboj Ends 29-Run Stand For 1st Wicket

India A vs England Lions Live Score, 2nd Unofficial Test Day 2: Hello and a very warm welcome to News18 CricketNext's live coverage of the second day of this second unofficial Test between India A and England Lions. This match will mark the end of this two-match series between the youth teams before India A play an intra-squad match against the senior side, in the lead-up to the five-Test Tendulkar-Anderson Trophy. The first day was all about KL Rahul as India A ended the rain-hit opener at 319/7 after 83 overs in Northampton, thanks to a classy century from the Karnataka man. After being put in to bat under overcast skies, India A faced early trouble as Chris Woakes dismissed Yashasvi Jaiswal and skipper Abhimanyu Easwaran, reducing them to 31/2. Rahul and his former state-mate Karun Nair steadied the innings with an 86-run partnership before the latter fell for 40. Rahul, returning to red-ball cricket, paced his innings smartly, reaching a composed century in 151 balls. Dhruv Jurel added 52 in a confident stand of over 100 with Rahul. George Hill turned the tide briefly by removing both set batters. Nitish Kumar Reddy and Shardul Thakur chipped in with handy runs but got out before Stumps, leaving all-rounder Tanush Kotian at 5 (31) and Anshul Kamboj at 1 (16) in the contest. India A will be satisfied with their performance but will aim to get as close to the 400-run mark as possible. Toss: England Lions won the toss and opted to bowl first. Teams:

Cheteshwar Pujara: 'Kohli, Rohit's Retirements Will Bring Young Players Together'

Last Updated: Most of the OGs of post-2010 Indian Test cricket are gone. But can that help the new Shubman Gill-led group to bind together more strongly in England? We asked Cheteshwar Pujara. The last time India won a Test in England — Oval, 2021 — the youngest batter in the top six was 29 years old, KL Rahul. The other five were among the OGs of the post-2010 generation of Indian Test cricket: Captain Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane and Ravindra Jadeja. As India are set to travel to the UK again in the summer, only Rahul and Jadeja remain. Kohli and Rohit announced their Test retirements earlier this month, while Pujara and Rahane have been phased out. The 'transition' that many wished to never see is here, under a 25-year-old new captain, Shubman Gill. Expectedly, such leadership handovers are treated with gloom and sad nostalgia. Not many know more about that than Pujara, who was a key cog in the Indian team when the previous generation were seeing the last of Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman. However, like Pujara did, it's an opportunity for the youngsters to break through as rays of hope. On Sunday, News18 CricketNext asked the former number three batter whether, without the shadows of the greats that preceded them, this new generation of Indian cricketers can bind together more strongly in England. 'Well, I've played with some of these players and I'm sure all these young players are focusing on the team's success," Pujara said during a call organized by Sony Sports network, the official broadcaster of the India tour of England. 'So this will definitely bring all the young players together. When you have a great opportunity like this, you come together as a team, you look different on the field. Because when you have seniors and juniors, there are times when you might have a little bit of difference of opinion, because the seniors have played a lot more. Now, there are no seniors and juniors in this team, so everyone has to come together. Everyone needs to support each other." 'See, honestly, guys will have a tough time," Pujara said. 'It won't be easy. Even if we win a Test match, the team has to work hard to earn those victories. So everyone has to contribute to the team's success. Everyone has to contribute, even to prepare well, even to strategize how we can be successful. So there, there will be. I'm sure Shubman is captain, but at the same time, you have senior players, someone who is experienced enough, someone like KL, someone like Jasprit (Bumrah), Rishabh Pant. Everyone will have to contribute to the team's cause. They will have to guide Shubman at different stages." The five-Test series begins on June 20 in Headingley. An India 'A' tour starting on May 30 will set the scene for the rubber. Watch CNN-News18 here. PAK's New White-Ball Coach On Future Of ODIs: 'No Bilaterals Outside Of WC Years'

Last Updated: Pakistan's new white-ball coach Mike Hesson predicted in March that cricket will shift to a football-like model with franchises owning players' time. Pakistan's new white-ball head coach, Mike Hesson, believes that bilateral ODI cricket will be limited to World Cup years in the near future, and the focus will shift more to T20 cricket. He also thinks that the shortest format will move towards a football-like model, where franchises (like in the IPL and other leagues) will own the players' time with long-term contracts and will 'release' them for international windows. Hesson spoke about the subject in an interview with News18 CricketNext in March. The job with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is his second such assignment at the international level, having previously successfully coached his home nation, New Zealand. He also has abundant experience in various coaching roles in India, as the Director of Cricket at Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and head coach at Punjab Kings (PBKS). 'I think the bilateral series has changed a lot," Hesson said in that interview, weeks before his appointment. 'That used to be the way that national bodies generated income, which is why there was a packed calendar. Now, that's changing. The amount of cricket played by some nations is a lot less than it used to be. And I think, outside of World Cup years, ODI cricket will become a lot less, and they'll generally be series or bilateral series leading up to World Cups. But I still believe that the One-Day International World Cup is a huge tournament that players all want to be part of." Hesson said that though he loves ODI cricket and the opportunity it provides to see multiple momentum swings in the same game, it doesn't generate enough revenue to be sustainable in bilateral formats. T20 cricket on the other hand, is attractive to younger audiences and is sponsorship-friendly. Franchises currently pay a small fee to international boards for signing their players, and Hessson said this amount could be increased for long-term contracts, so the boards also earn enough. Olympics' role Cricket's entry into the 2028 LA Olympics is also likely to have a significant impact on the sport's future. Hesson said although it's a 'real opportunity' to showcase cricket to the wider world, he'll be interested in seeing the response from various countries, big and small, afterwards. 'Look, I think they've tried to grow the game worldwide. Having the last T20 World Cup in the West Indies and America was a big step. T20 is clearly the format where global growth is going to happen. I don't think there's any disagreement about that. They tried the Commonwealth Games with ODI cricket, but that didn't really work in Kuala Lumpur. T20 is the right format for it. 'It's a great chance to showcase the game to countries that haven't seen much of it — it's a real opportunity. The game is definitely growing, especially when you look at the increasing number of countries showing interest. Broadcast numbers are more globally spread than ever. There's clearly interest, though whether some of the bigger nations will take up cricket seriously remains to be seen. There are quite a few emerging countries at the lower levels with big numbers behind them, so it'll be interesting to see how quickly they can progress," he said. Watch CNN-News18 here. SRH Vs MI Live Score, IPL 2025: Desperate Sunrisers Hyderabad Host Hardik Pandya's Resurgent Mumbai Indians

SRH vs MI Live Score, IPL 2025: Hello and welcome to News18 CricketNext's live coverage of Match 41 of the Indian Premier League season between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians. This is probably the last chance for SRH to redeem their campaign. They are placed ninth in the points table with two wins from seven matches — with half of the season to play, they need at least six wins to script a comeback run to the playoffs. Another loss here would be a complete shoulder dropper. Against them are the kings of comebacks. MI have been in SRH's current situation multiple times and got out of it, not just to qualify but to win some of their many titles. They seem to be on one of those runs again, having won the last three matches. Do SRH have it in them to stop a juggernaut? When these two sides recently met at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai gave them a turning-stopping track which exposed SRH's vulnerabilities and drowned them to a four-wicket loss. However, Hyderabad will likely be the opposite, completely in tune with the hosts' flat-track needs and their batters won't have a choice but to perform and give their bowlers enough runs to defend or chase whatever they can hold MI too. Let's hope for a cracker! SRH vs MI: Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium Pitch Report The Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad, is often among the most batting-friendly tracks in the country. There is usually no help for pacers or spinners here — the last match at this venue saw Punjab Kings post a whopping 245 batting first — but whatever purchase there might be, would be seen either in the powerplay with the new ball or in the slog overs. SRH vs MI Probable Playing 11s SRH Probable Playing 11: Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Heinrich Klaasen (wk), Aniket Verma, Pat Cummins (c), Harshal Patel, Rahul Chahar, Mohammed Shami, Eshan Malinga Impact subs: Abhinav Manohar, Sachin Baby, Jaydev Unadkat, Zeeshan Ansari, Wiaan Mulder MI Probable Playing 11: Ryan Rickelton (wk), Will Jacks, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya (c), Naman Dhir, Mitchell Santner, Deepak Chahar, Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah, Ashwani Kumar
