Abusive scorned lover compared ex to Amber Heard in ‘hate filled' online posts
Robert Christopher Adams (34) denied harassing the woman despite posts on Facebook labelling her a 'b*tch' and a 'prick'
A 'cowardly' abusive ex who published 'hate-filled rants' about his former lover on social media, calling her a 'rat' and comparing her to Amber Heard has been convicted of a string of offences.
Robert Christopher Adams (34) denied harassing the woman despite posts on Facebook labelling her a 'b*tch' and a 'prick'.
He was convicted of breaching a non-molestation order and misuse of public communications following a contest at Newtownards Magistrates Court earlier this month.
According to the indictment Adams, of Ashbury Road in Bangor, made the abusive posts on dates in August and November last year.
The victim told the court her ex-partner had put up 'harassing and intimidating posts' on Facebook and 'referred to me as Amber Heard'.
Amber Heard is a Hollywood actress who was involved in a high-profile defamation case at London's High Court involving her megastar ex-husband Johnny Depp.

Newtownards Magistrates heard how Adams referred to his ex on social media as a 'b*tch, a rat' and 'a prick', as reported by Court News NI.
He claimed he had been suffering 'mental torment' at the time and told the court he made social media posts but did not 'accept they are harassing'.
Adams also said he had suffered an 'emotional blow-up' and had taken to social media to 'vent' his frustrations in response to his ex-partner 'spreading false narratives'.
Deputy District Judge Sean O'Hare said the defendant's evidence to the court was 'wholly unconvincing' and convicted him of the charges.
The judge said there was 'clearly' a non-molestation order in place on August 22 when one of the offences was committed.
He also pointed out this order had been extended and Adams was also subject to bail conditions at the time not to have any contact with his ex-partner.

The judge added: 'You chose to ignore that by indirectly contacting her by publishing these hate-filled rants, even putting up a secretly recorded conversation.
'It does not show you in a good light. Your language, your behaviour, your demeanour during that recorded conversation is atrocious. It is bullying, it is entitled.
'This is all cowardly, behind a computer and keyboard.'
A defence barrister said there was no indication Adams had 'physically approached' his ex-partner and the case was adjourned to May for a pre-sentence report.
Following the hearing Adams found himself in the dock at Newtownards Magistrates Court again last week for breaching his court bail in relation to the charges.
He was also accused of breaching bail in a related case where he is alleged to have contravened a non-molestation order at Bull and Bear steakhouse in Bloomfield Shopping Centre, Bangor, on February 6 this year.
He is also accused of breaching a protection from harassment order on dates between October last year and February this.
After being given a warning to adhere to his bail conditions by District Judge Mark Hamill, Adams was readmitted to bail for the breaches, with the case adjourned to next month.
