One dead, two injured in Bay of Plenty crash

Police said the crash occurred on Dansey Road at about 8am. Two others involved in the crash were injured, one had serious injuries and the other minor injuries, police said. Dansey Road remains closed and diversions are in place onto State Highway 5. Emergency services were alerted to the crash about 8am and police said there were thought to be serious injuries. Dansey Road in the Ngongotahā Valley was close and traffic was diverted onto State Highway 5. Motorists were asked to take alternative routes if possible.
