Semi crashes into construction zone on New Circle Road
LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — An early Monday morning semi crash caused the shutdown of part of New Circle Road near Georgetown Road. According to Lexington police, around 1:30 a.m., a semi-truck drove into the barrier of a construction zone. Construction crews were not working at the site at the time of the crash. NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — May 4 is recognized as International Firefighters' Day, and people across the country honored those who have given their lives to protect their communities from harm. The Nicholasville Fire Department posted on Facebook on Sunday that officials visited the National Fallen Firefighters' memorial ceremony in Emmitsburg, Maryland, where former Chief Charles Brumfield's name was added. Nicholasville fire officials said the names of 12 Kentucky firefighters were added to the memorial wall this year.
