Leeds bid €26 million for Strasbourg's Habib Diarra

According to a report from L'Équipe, Leeds United have sent an offer of €26 million to RC Strasbourg Alsace for club captain Habib Diarra (21). As L'Équipe have previously noted, unlike last summer, Strasbourg are no longer against losing the midfielder and would be willing to sell if a big enough offer lands at their door for a player who is under contract until 2028. Advertisement Aston Villa and Stade Rennais have both been previously linked, but it appears as if Leeds are the first club to enter concrete talks to try and secure the Senegalese international. Strasbourg are expected to wait and see how the market will respond to Leeds' offer. Leeds will be back in the Premier League after a two-year absence after they won the 2024/25 Championship. They had narrowly missed out on promotion the season before when they lost in the playoff final to Southampton FC. GFFN | Nick Hartland

Luis Enrique on Arsenal clash: 'We're very confident.'

Paris Saint-Germain made the now familiar trip across the English Channel ahead of their Champions League semi-final against Arsenal tonight. The Ligue 1 champions have faced English opposition in the previous two rounds, having eliminated Liverpool in the Round of 16 and Aston Villa in the quarter-final. Tonight may end up being the most difficult of the clashes, with the two sides having already met earlier in the season, where Arsenal won 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium. Despite this, Luis Enrique cut a confident figure in yesterday's pre-match press conference. Advertisement The Spanish head coach said, 'We're very confident. We're looking forward to playing this semi-final.' On whether it was an advantage playing other Premier League teams before Arsenal, Luis Enrique was uninterested, 'It's not important for us to know if it can help us or not.' This will be the second time that Luis Enrique has led PSG to the Champions League semi-final. Last season, the club were eliminated at this stage by Borussia Dortmund, who went on to lose the final to Real Madrid. GFFN | Nick Hartland

Ligue 1 available to UK viewers on Amazon Prime

From this weekend, audiences in the UK will have another way to watch Ligue 1 after Amazon announced that the French top flight was coming to their platform. Prime Video will host Ligue 1 matches via pay-per-view with each game accessible for £2.49. This is exclusive to the UK and Amazon notes that viewers will not need a Prime subscription to access these games. This weekend, Paris Saint-Germain will travel to arch-rivals Olympique Lyonnais, while Olympique de Marseille will visit AJ Auxerre. Viewers in the UK (as well as the Republic of Ireland) are already able to access all Ligue 1 games on a subscription basis via the Ligue 1 Pass, which costs £9.99 a month or £79.99 a year. The Ligue 1 Pass was only created at the start of this season (after the first game week had been completed) following TNT Sports' decision not to pick up the broadcasting rights for the 2024/25 campaign.
