Victims identified in fatal I-43 wrong-way crash; charges expected
PORT WASHINGTON, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities have released the names of those involved in a fatal wrong-way crash on Interstate 43 that left two people dead and two others hospitalized early Monday morning.
According to the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office, the victims killed in the crash were 51-year-old Nicole Horne and 56-year-old Jay Horne, a married couple from Oostburg. Their daughter, 22-year-old Alissa Horne, was seriously injured and remains hospitalized.

The wrong-way driver was identified as 34-year-old Ace Vue of Milwaukee. Vue also remains hospitalized with serious injuries.
The crash occurred shortly before 12:45 a.m. on May 27, when Vue reportedly drove southbound in the northbound lanes of I-43 and collided with the Hornes' SUV.

The investigation is ongoing, but authorities say criminal charges are expected to be forwarded to the Ozaukee County District Attorney's Office. Vue could face charges including first-degree reckless homicide and reckless driving causing great bodily harm. Additional charges may follow.
