Argument leads to stabbing in Grand Junction
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) – A woman was arrested for allegedly stabbing a man after a domestic dispute, according to the Grand Junction Police Department.
The incident occurred around 1 p.m., Monday, around Noland Avenue and South Eight Street. Before officers arrived at the scene, the suspect allegedly fled the area on foot, but after a short pursuit, she was located and taken into custody.
The suspect – Nicole Parks, 35 – was arrested for first-degree assault, felony menacing, obstructing a peace officer and domestic violence.
The man who suffered the stab wound was transported to the hospital with a serious bodily injury.
GJPD said it believes this was an isolated incident.
