Here are two of the best new titles coming to the platform this May: Celebrate Star Wars Day with this six-episode animated series that explores the galaxy's perilous criminal underworld through the eyes of two notorious villains. See the yellow lightsaber-wieling former assassin and bounty hunter Asajj Ventress (Nika Futterman) get a new chance at life, as well as quick-drawing outlaw Cad Bane (Corey Burton) confront his past when he is forced to face an old friend now on the opposing side of the law, all in Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld early this month, only on Disney+. The hit Star Wars story Andor returns to Disney+ this month for the last episodes leading up to an epic series finale. Andor: Season 2 continues to follow thief-turned-revolutionary Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) as he becomes a central figure in the Rebel Alliance as an all-out war with the Galactic Empire draws nearer. This last batch of episodes will showcase Cassian's transformation and growth into the rebellious hero he is in 2016 film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and is sure to end with a bang, so make sure to do yourselves a favor and check the episodes out when they drop on Disney+ in May. In ‘Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld,' Asajj Ventress finds new depth
DUBAI: In the ever-expanding Star Wars universe, few characters capture the imagination quite like Asajj Ventress. Voice actress Nika Futterman returns to breathe life into this complex anti-hero in 'Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld,' offering fans a deeper look into a character who has evolved from a ruthless villain to a nuanced, world-weary survivor. For the latest updates, follow us on Instagram @ 'After all these years of traveling alone, of killing so many people, her voice has changed,' Futterman explains. Gone is the regal, sharp-edged character of the past. Instead, audiences will meet a Ventress who is 'more about just existing and finding her peace.' A post shared by Star Wars (@starwars) An all-new anthology series of animated shorts, 'Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld' premiered May 4 on Disney+. The popular series this time focuses on the criminal underbelly of the Star Wars galaxy through the experiences of two iconic villains. Former assassin and bounty hunter Ventress is given a new chance at life and must go on the run with an unexpected new ally, while outlaw Cad Bane faces his past when he confronts an old friend. What makes Ventress so compelling? Futterman believes it's her incredible depth. 'She's like an onion that you keep peeling,' she said. From her unique origins as a witch raised by pirates, trained by a Jedi, and later mastering the dark side, Ventress defies simple categorization. The new series promises to reveal a softer side of the character. 'We started to see that she has this capability of taking care of others,' Futterman said. 'She's not just angry; she actually has a heart.' Fans of morally complex characters will find much to love in this exploration of Ventress' journey. As Futterman puts it, Ventress is ultimately 'someone who can put good things into the universe, instead of taking them away.'

What parents need to know about ‘Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld' and more
Age 10+ Villains get the spotlight in engaging series with violence. The first three episodes of this Star Wars animated series focus on the adventures of former Empire assassin Asajj Ventress (voiced by Nika Futterman) and her young Jedi friend Lyco (Lane Factor), while the rest follow bounty hunter Cad Bane (Corey Burton). Expect lots of sci-fi action violence, including fistfighting, laser blasts, explosions and, of course, lightsaber battles. The featured villains have an uneven history, but they're often swayed by the power of good. The show preaches that communication and empathy can help solve problems — and avoid larger ones.
