Nike Makes Decision on Price of Popular Air Force 1

Nike is reportedly planning price increases on a number of products, but the Air Force 1 won't be one of them. On Wednesday afternoon, CNBC's Gabrielle Fonrouge reported that Nike will raise prices on a "wide range of footwear, apparel and equipment" by June 1 and possibly as soon as this week. The decision comes as the company braces for the potential effects of President Donald Trump's tariffs. However, some goods will be spared from the increases, including the Air Force 1. The Air Force 1 debuted in 1982 and was worn on the court by NBA champion and Hall of Famer Moses Malone, among others. It was also the first basketball shoe from the company to incorporate Nike Air technology. In the decades since, the Air Force 1 has left an indelible mark on sneaker culture and has morphed into an everyday staple. That second detail is reportedly the reason why the company won't be raising prices on the popular shoe, which currently retails at $115. 'It's a shoe that people in the workplace wear,' a source said to CNBC about the Air Force 1. 'It's comfortable, accessible.' Other items that won't be see their price tag raised are children's products, as well as Jordan brand apparel and accessories. Jordan sneakers, however, will become more expensive. Overall, Nike apparel and equipment will see hikes between $2 and $10, while footwear priced between $100 and $150 will undergo increases up to $5 and shoes that cost $150 or more will become up to $10 more expensive. 'We regularly evaluate our business and make pricing adjustments as part of our seasonal planning,' Nike said in a statement provided to multiple outlets. Nike's fiscal year closes May 31. According to Complex, customers will see prices go up in June, while the Swoosh's retail partners will see wholesale prices raised in July.

Official Look at the Nike Air Force 1 Low 'Soft Pearl'

Name:Nike Air Force 1 Low 'Soft Pearl'Colorway:TBCSKU:IH7332-001MSRP:$130 USDRelease Date:Summer 2025Where to Buy:Nike Update:Further details on thisNikeAir Force 1 Lowsneaker have surfaced, with the variant now confirmed as 'Soft Pearl.' The titular hue refers to the dominant cream color of the sneaker, which douses the model from the upper, tongue, laces to the rubber outsole. The soft, monochromatic base is complemented by deep brown accents on the tongue tag, heel and Swoosh logos, now revealed to have an oiled finish rather than the previously assumed patent-like leather. This subtle sheen enhances the sneaker's premium appeal, while the rich brown shade carries a burgundy undertone, adding a vintage-inspired touch to the design. Further elevating the aesthetic, the leather heel tab incorporates a grid-like texture, reminiscent of embossed detailing but with a more polished execution. Original Story (April 26, 2025):Nike has debuted the Air Force 1 Low in a sleek 'Sail Brown' colorway. The upcoming model features textured leather uppers in a creamy white hue. Contrasting hits of brown land on the panel swoosh, tongue tag and heel — all of which are built with patent leather. Additional branding also lands on the insoles and embroidered Nike Air heel logo, as well as an embroidered '+' on the tongue. The sneaker then rests on a white midsole and outsole, while white laces with gold AF1 '82 dubraes tie them together for a neat finish.
