Tottenham vs Bodo/Glimt Live Streaming: How to Watch the UEFA Europa League Semi-Final Online in the US, UK and India
Tottenham Hotspur will be traveling to Norway for the second leg of their UEFA Europa League semi-final clash against Bodo/Glimt on Thursday. Spurs won 3-1 in the first leg at home and will be hopeful of finishing the job in the return leg. With their domestic season falling short of expectations, the Europa League remains Tottenham's best and perhaps only chance of winning at a trophy this year. A win in the tournament would allow them to end the campaign on a positive note. However, Tottenham's recent form has not at all been impressive, as they have been inconsistent, with two wins in their last six matches across all competitions. Tottenham Need to Rebound Tottenham will need to up their ante if they want to secure a spot in the final. Meanwhile, Bodo/Glimt haven't played since their loss in London, meaning they will be coming into this match fresh. It remains to be seen whether the Norwegian side can use that rest to their advantage and stage a comeback on home soil. Daniel Bassi will be an absentee for the hosts, but otherwise, Bodo/Glimt have a fully available squad to select from. They are expected to line up in a 4-3-3 setup against Tottenham Hotspur, with Nikita Haikin guarding the net. Fredrik Sjovold and Fredrik Djorkan will be the full-back. At the center of the backline, Odin Bjortuft will partner with Jostein Gundersen to provide strength and organization. The midfield trio of Ulrik Saltnes, Patrick Berg, and Hakon Evjen will be tasked with maintaining balance, controlling possession, and offering protection in front of the defense. Out wide, Jens Petter Hauge and Ole Blomberg are set to operate on the wings, bringing speed and creativity to the attack. Kasper Hogh will spearhead the front line as the central striker against Spurs. Tottenham Hotspur are expected to line up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Guglielmo Vicario taking his place between the posts. Pedro Porro and Djed Spence will occupy the full-back positions. In central defense, Cristian Romero will be paired with Micky van de Ven to anchor the backline. In midfield, the double pivot will consist of Pape Matar Sarr and Yves Bissouma. On the wings, Brennan Johnson and Mathys Tel will bring speed and attacking flair, aiming to stretch the opposition's defense. Dejan Kulusevski will be in the central attacking midfield role. Leading the line for Spurs will be Dominic Solanke, who will serve as the focal point of the attack in Thursday's clash. Tottenham vs Bodo/Glimt prediction: Will Spurs capitalise on home advantage?
Tottenham vs Bodo/Glimt tips: Tottenham to win by two goals - 10/3 Bet365 Tottenham host Bodo/Glimt on Thursday, desperate to keep up their good run in the Europa League and give themselves a chance of picking up their first piece of silverware in 17 years. This is the furthest they have gone in the competition since 1984, when they won the competition with a 4–3 penalty win over Anderlecht, after both legs of the final finished 1-1. They also won the tournament in its inaugural year in 1972, beating Wolves 3-2 over two legs and reached the final two years later but were beaten 4-2 by Feyenoord. Thursday's opponents are relatively new to this competition, with this only their sixth appearance, and they've already gone further than ever before. Previously, they had only got past the first round once and that was during the 2022/23 season when they reached the group stage but won only one of their six matches. This season they have won seven matches, so far, and surprised many, including Porto, Besiktas, Olympiakos and Lazio, who they beat on penalties in the last round after the tie ended 3-3 on aggregate. But that only tells half of the story. They won their home leg 2-0 but were trailing 3-0 in extra time before Andreas Helmersen pulled a goal back before he was sent off, and the game went to penalties, with goalkeeper Nikita Haikin saving the decisive spot kick. Football betting sites have Spurs as the favourites to lift the trophy in Bilbao at odds of 15/8 while you can get 14/1 on the Norwegian side being crowned champions. Spurs too strong on the night Spurs' form has surprised many this season too, but not in a good way, after 19 defeats has left them two places above the relegation zone and 23 points off the top five. They reached the semi-final of the League Cup before losing to Liverpool and won seven times in this competition, including three times away from home, to reach the last four. They go into the game on the back of three straight defeats in the league at an aggregate score of 11-4, the positive that Spurs can take though is that they have scored in eight of their last 10 matches and have scored an impressive 97 goals in all competitions this season, so you would fancy them over two legs. Understandably betting sites are backing Spurs for the win on the night at odds of 31/100, while you can get 9/1 on Bodo /Glimt and 5/1 on a draw. Kjetil Knutsen's side have kept just one clean sheet on the road in the competition this season, and they have lost four of their last five away Europa League matches, drawing the other, so we have to back Spurs to make home advantage pay. They have only lost two of their last 13 European matches and are unbeaten in their last 13 Europa League games at home, winning 10 and drawing three. Bodo/Glimt stun Lazio in penalty shoot-out to make Europa League semi-finals
ROME, April 17 (Reuters) - Nikita Haikin made the vital save as Bodo/Glimt pulled off a stunning penalty shoot-out win away to Lazio on Thursday to become the first Norwegian team to reach the semi-finals of the Europa League, where they will face Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur. Lazio took the lead in the 21st minute through Taty Castellanos but it took until second-half stoppage time for Tijani Noslin to squeeze in their second goal to make it 2-2 on aggregate and send the tie to extra time, with Boulaye Dia heading home to put his side 3-2 up on aggregate 10 minutes into the first period. Stunningly, Bodo substitute Andreas Helmersen headed a goal of his own to make it 3-3 on the night in the 109th minute, but he was then sent off for a second yellow in the dying minutes as the tie headed to penalties after a nerve-jangling encounter. Bodo/Glimt's Patrick Berg could have won it with his fifth kick but blasted the ball over the bar and Haikin became the hero when he saved Castellanos's effort to make it 3-2 in the shoot-out and send his side into the last four.
