There are several success stories but some really touch our hearts. The story of Sheikh Sarfaraz is also one such story that motivates thousands of aspirants and connects them emotionally. Sarfaraz's story is not less than a Bollywood movie where a boy from a marginalised family works as a labourer in the morning and becomes successful by studying during the nights. The 22-year-old young man also used to carry bricks in the morning to support his family and studied at nights to achieve his dream. He cracked the NEET UG 2024 exam and scored 677 out of 720 marks. Sheikh Sarfaraz hails from West Bengal and was born to a marginalised family. His father works as a daily wage labourer. Looking at the financial condition of the family, he also started carrying 300 to 400 bricks per day, for which he used to get Rs 300 daily. After completing his work, Sarfaraz used to study during night with the help of online classes. His dream was to become a doctor, for this he used to struggle every day. Mother's Support As per Sarfaraz, his mother contributed a lot to his success. She used to stay awake all night with her son. After passing Class 10th, Sarfaraz's wanted to join NDA, but looking at the condition of the family, he gave up this idea. During Covid-19 pandemic, he got a phone with government assistance and started studying through online classes. Physicswallah's Entry In Sarfaraz's Life Sarfaraz utilised free YouTube lectures from Alakh Pandey and an affordable PhysicsWallah course to study for the NEET exam. He combined online learning with independent study. Although he initially enrolled in a dental college after his first attempt, he withdrew due to a lack of on-campus housing. Got Admission In Medical College In Second Attempt In the year 2024, Sarfaraz gave the second attempt of the NEET UG exam and succeeded. He got admission in the prestigious Nil Ratan Sarkar (NRS) Medical College in Kolkata. Sarfaraz's story is a true inspiration for aspirants who feel that they cannot fulfill their dreams due to a lack of resources.
