Power, Performance, Innovation: FUSE Launches World's First Nissan Patrol EV
In a bold reimagining of the most iconic 4×4 in the Middle East, FUSE has launched the world's first high-performance and fully electric Nissan Patrol. The converted vehicle – made in the UAE for the UAE – showcases its meticulous restoration without sacrificing the luxury, strength, and ruggedness that is authentic to the brand, making it the world's only EV version of the legendary off-roader.
Purposefully preserved with the aim of keeping the 4×4 as authentic as possible, FUSE, a cutting-edge startup specializing in retrofitting existing ICE vehicles with electric powertrains, undertook the mammoth project of a bare-metal restoration, rebuilding it with all-original parts and environment-friendly materials. The complete restoration includes a 110kWh dual battery system supplied by Fellten UK, upgraded suspension from ARB, vegan leather interiors, power steering and braking, and distinctive Method rims shod with 34-inch Cooper Tyres amongst other modifications, ushering the classic Y60 Patrol the future of green transport.
The launch of the Nissan Patrol EV comes at a time when the UAE and the wider region are accelerating efforts to meet net-zero emission goals. Globally, the movement towards sustainable transport solutions is rapidly accelerating – by electrifying iconic cars such as the Nissan Patrol, one of the longest-running nameplates in the brand's fleets, FUSE is showcasing its vision of redefining the automotive landscape in the UAE.
Powered by a 600-horsepower electric motor, the EV version fully exceeds the capabilities of the classic Patrol both on and off-road and is now the fastest off-road electric classic SUV in the UAE. Fully remastered, the re-imagined Nissan Patrol EV boasts a lighter body than its original petrol incarnation and has been thoroughly adapted to conquer the harsh climate and terrain of the UAE.
