More trouble for Pakistan after DRDO and Navy conduct tests in… impossible for Pakistan to escape from the trap of 3 in 1 mine which is.. Amid possibility of Pakistan-India war, the DRDO and Indian Navy have successfully tested the Multi-Influence Ground Mine which is an advanced underwater naval mine system. By Nivedita Dash Edited by Nivedita Dash Advertisement More trouble for Pakistan after DRDO and Navy conduct tests in... impossible for Pakistan to escape from the trap of 3 in 1 mine which is.. Multi-Influence Ground Mine (MIGM): Now the Pakistan Navy will have to think a hundred times before entering Indian waters. This is being said because DRDO and Indian Navy have successfully tested the Multi-Influence Ground Mine which is an advanced underwater naval mine system. It has been developed jointly by the Naval Science and Technology Lab and DRDO Lab located in Visakhapatnam. This new mine will greatly increase the strength of the Indian Navy. Be it any stealth ship or submarine of the enemy, no one will be able to escape from this mine. What is a multi-influence ground mine? Advertisement === The work of laying mines in the sea is decades old. Different types of mines have been used by the Indian Navy till now. But now the features of different mines are being combined in one mine. For example, it works on 3 types of sensor input technology. It works according to magnetic, acoustic and pressure. According to pressure technology, the mine floats in water under a normal pressure. But if a ship or a submarine passes near that mine field, then the water pressure on the mine changes or increases. The sensors immediately detect this change and the mine blasts. The second technology is magnetic influence, in which it recognizes the movements of metal inside the water. The third is acoustic influence, that is, the sensors of this mine detect and track the sound and vibration caused by it. If the mine is set to a specific sound wave or vibration and the sound coming from the propeller of any ship or submarine goes beyond the predetermined limit, then this mine gets activated. Till now, all the mines used by the Navy are based on these three technologies, but all in different ways. In this new mine, all three have been included in one. What is its specialty? Advertisement === This is the country's first multi-influence smart naval mine which is equipped with low signature detection technology, which can hide it from enemy radar or sonar. It works on smart activation logic. It is so accurate that the possibility of wrong activation is eliminated. NAVAREA warning has been issued in the sea for a long time. Whenever the navy of a country conducts firing drill in its area, merchant ships, warships and other fishing boats passing through that area are warned. But in the event of war, by laying similar mine fields, not only can one's area be kept safe but enemy attacks can also be thwarted. #DRDO and Indian Navy today successfully conducted validation trial of Multi-Influence Ground Mine. This system will further enhance undersea warfare capabilities of #IndianNavy. — Defence Decode® (@DefenceDecode) May 5, 2025

Withdrawal of Israeli troops, 5-7 years of ceasefire… new proposal presented to stop war in Gaza…will Netanyahu accept it?
Withdrawal of Israeli troops, 5-7 years of ceasefire… new proposal presented to stop war in Gaza…will Netanyahu accept it? Earlier this year, Israel and Hamas agreed to a ceasefire, which broke down last month. Israel and Hamas accused each other of failing to maintain the ceasefire. Now once again a new proposal has been presented to stop the war in Gaza. By Nivedita Dash Edited by Nivedita Dash Advertisement Withdrawal of Israeli troops, 5-7 years of ceasefire... new proposal presented to stop war in Netanyahu accept it? Mediators from Egypt and Qatar, who are mediating ceasefire talks between Israel and Hamas, have presented a new formula for peace in Gaza, according to information quoting a Palestinian official familiar with the talks. The proposal talks about a ceasefire of five to seven years in Gaza, release of all Israeli hostages in exchange for Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli jails, formal end of the war and complete withdrawal of Israeli army from Gaza. A delegation of extremist organization Hamas was about to reach Cairo to discuss the proposal. Ceasefire was broken a month ago Advertisement === Earlier this year, Israel and Hamas had agreed on a ceasefire, which broke down in March. After this, Israel resumed bombing Gaza. Both sides blamed each other for the failure to continue it. Israel has not yet commented on the mediators' plan. The proposal is to be discussed in Cairo, in which Hamas's political council chief Mohammad Darwish and its chief negotiator Khalil al-Hayya will do it. Netanyahu has vowed to destroy Hamas Advertisement === Earlier, Hamas rejected Israel's latest proposal, which included a demand for disarmament from Hamas in exchange for a six-week ceasefire. On Saturday itself, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu released a video message, in which he said that he would not surrender to Hamas . He said that Israel would not end the war until Hamas was destroyed and all the hostages were returned. Netanyahu described the ceasefire on Hamas's terms as a surrender. At the same time, Hamas has demanded that Israel commit to ending the war before all the hostages are released. Hamas may give up rule of Gaza The BBC quoted a Palestinian official as saying that Hamas has indicated it would give up governance of Gaza and it could be handed over to any Palestinian entity agreed at national or regional level. This could be the Palestinian Authority (PA) that rules the West Bank or a newly formed administrative body. However, Netanyahu has ruled out any role for the Palestinian Authority in the future governance of Gaza.
