‘Doctor' Nixi XS Was There For Bayley, Reveals Which WWE Stars Inspired Her To Wrestle
Nixi XS was locked in. Ahead of WWE WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas, a mystery assailant attacked Bayley backstage, ultimately causing her to be removed from her scheduled WWE Women's Tag Team Championship match alongside Lyra Valkyria. In the initial aftermath, Valkyria, WWE Raw General Manager Adam Pearce, and two doctors immediately ran over to check on 'The Role Model.' Many independent wrestling fans instantly recognized one of the doctors as former WrestleMax Women's Champion Nixi XS. Advertisement WrestleZone's Ella Jay recently caught up with Nixi XS to learn more about her new role as a doctor. 'I did my part, I did my service. I played my role, I was there for her. Bayley, remember that,' Nixi said. 'I was there for you in your time of need. I supported you, I checked on you. That other doctor, I don't know if he knew what was going on, but I was there. I was locked in.' According to Bayley, the biggest pain come from her shoulder, which Nixi and the other extra doctor quickly assessed. Follow-up reports indicated that Bayley's 'injury' was pre-planned and was merely for storyline purposes. A returning Becky Lynch took her place as Valkyria's tag team partner at WrestleMania 41 and subsequently revealed herself as the assailant behind the attack. Becky Lynch & Charlotte Flair Inspired Nixi XS To Start Training In addition to paving the way for Nixi's appearance as an extra on WWE programming, Becky Lynch also motivated her to start her professional wrestling training. 'The Versace of Violence' found particular inspiration in Lynch's Last Woman Standing match against Charlotte Flair at WWE Evolution. Advertisement 'I like really intense matches that have these emotional buildups to them,' Nixi said. 'The match itself is just this explosion of chaos and intensity, all this pent-up anger, and weapons get involved and crazy stuff happens. It's just built up that much. I love that emotional release in wrestling. 'That [was] maybe not the first time I ever saw the girls do something like that,' she continued, 'but I was fully invested in that story between Becky and Charlotte, their friendship turned jealous kind of situation, turned actually feuding with each other. Then building up to that Last Woman Standing Match, I was just so heavily invested in it. To see the girls going out there and doing something like that that had that level of intensity, just laying it all out there, was very much like 'Oh, the girls can do this too. Okay I want to do this too.'' At WWE Evolution, Lynch emerged as the last woman standing, and in doing so, retained her WWE SmackDown Women's Championship. Nixi XS Reveals Which Wrestlers Have That ‘Main Girl' Energy
Nixi XS has that main girl energy. In the ring, Nixi XS is known as 'The Versace of Violence.' Additionally, fans know her as the 'Main Girl,' with a flair for fashion and a beaming confidence. According to Nixi, 'Main Girl' isn't just a title for her, but rather, a lifestyle. Advertisement 'Being the main girl means when you walk in the room, everybody's eyes go to you,' she told WrestleZone's Ella Jay. 'When you're going shopping, people ask if they can carry your bags for you. Being the main girl means wherever you are, no matter what you're doing, the energy that radiates off of you attracts everyone towards you. Some people call it 'main character energy,' but 'character' implies it's an act you're putting on. Being the main girl, you can't wipe that off. That's just part of you.' When asked which modern wrestlers exhibit that same 'main girl energy,' Nixi pointed toward a pair of former world champions and one current AEW champion. 'I don't want to give my title to someone that I might come across in the future, but I would say Bianca Belair. She's got some main girl energy,' Nixi said. 'She's the first person that comes into my mind. Mercedes [Mone] has some main girl energy. I need a deep cut to pull, but I don't know if I'm actually going to be able to think of one. This isn't a deep cut, but I'd say Mariah May. She's coming into main girl status.' Bianca Belair, a former WWE Women's Champion, is currently sidelined with a finger injury. Meanwhile, Mariah May has remained off of AEW television since losing her AEW Women's Championship at AEW Revolution. She is now reportedly in the midst of contract negotiations as well. Mercedes Moné currently reigns as both the AEW TBS and RevPro Undisputed British Women's Champion.
