The deceased's body and his motorcycle at the roadside. BINTULU (May 11): A local man in his 30s was killed in a single-vehicle accident along Jalan Sebauh at 6.48pm yesterday. Bintulu police chief Supt Nixon Joshua Ali said the deceased was believed to be on his way home from Simpang Sebauh when he lost control of his motorcycle, causing it to veer off the road and crashed into a metal roadside barrier. 'The man was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel,' he said in a statement. The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. Anyone with information or who may have witnessed the incident is urged to contact investigating officer Insp Lydia Allan at the Bintulu Traffic Police Station (086-338575) or the Bintulu IPD Operations Room (086-318304).

'Investigations revealed that there are 11 more suspects still at large believed to be involved in the incident. Police will not compromise and remain committed to tracking down all the suspects,' he said in a statement last night. The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder. Nixon reminded the public not to spread false information or speculate about the case, urging them to direct relevant information to the investigating officer, ASP Mohammad Hashim Kasman, at 014-6817837 or to the Bintulu District Police Operations Room at 086-318304. A brawl was reported outside the entertainment outlet at 1am, where the 28-year-old local man was found bleeding.
