Bafana Bafana have a pair of intriguing friendlies on the horizon. Orlando Pirates star Nkosinathi Sibisi will skipper the side. However, Ndah has battled injuries and both Xoki and Sibisi have suffered dips in form. The late-season emergence of an outstandingly gifted teenager, Mbekezeli Mbokazi, has been a huge boost, but none of the club's existing centre-halves have Sesane's unique skill set. The 25-year-old was quietly and effectively becoming the marshal of Pirates' back four. It's hoped that he'll be fit in time for the early stages of the 2025-2026 campaign. Orlando Pirates name depleted starting XI vs Golden Arrows
Orlando Pirates have named a depleted starting line-up for their league encounter against Golden Arrows on Tuesday. Kick-off at Moses Mabhida Stadium is at 19:30. The Buccaneers head into this encounter without two of their key players in Nkosinathi Sibisi and Thalente Mbatha. Both Sibisi and Mbatha are serving suspension but they will be available for selection against Kaizer Chiefs on the weekend. Furthermore, three stars in Patrick Maswanganyi, Relebohile Mofokeng and Tapelo Xoki are on three yellow cards each. Orlando Pirates' big-money signing Gilberto failed to make an impression on the pitch. Now, he's getting all of the wrong attention off it. After failing to become a regular in the Sea Robbers side, the Buccaneers loaned R11 million signing Gilberto back to his old club, Petro de Luanda, at the turn of the year. According to KickOff, the winger has taken his eye off the ball. The 24-year-old arrived with a big price and reputation, but only managed 11 appearances with zero goals and zero assists. 'Concerns have been raised about his fitness condition and lifestyle choices,' the outlet said. 'A video has recently been circulating of him lying on the floor shirtless, conversing with two females while holding a bottle of tequila in a room with plenty of other alcoholic beverages,' the publication added. Key Orlando Pirates duo suspended
Orlando Pirates are still buzzing after their win over Kaizer Chiefs. However, two stars will miss their trip to Golden Arrows. After an accumulation of cards, Bucs duo Nkosinathi Sibisi and Thalente Mbatha will play no part in the club's clash with Golden Arrows. The match is scheduled for 19:30 on Tuesday, 06 May. 18-year-old Thabo Mphaki, on loan at Wits, is nicknamed 'Nasri' for his flair that's reminiscent of former Arsenal and France playmaker Samir Nasri.
