Neighbours legend fired from job following drug scandal

Neighbours is lining up a huge week for Karl Kennedy (Alan Fletcher), as the effects of the drugs Darcy Tyler (Mark Raffety) has been feeding him begin to take force. To make matters worse, he still has absolutely no idea what is going on, and with Darcy spilling lies to his wife Susan (Jackie Woodburne), it's not long until the stalwart lands in hot water at Eirini Rising. Wendy Rodwell (Candice Leask) finally confronts husband Andrew (Lloyd Will) over his apparent cheating, but it transpires that something more sinister is at play. He is being catfished, and with help from Nicolette Stone (Hannah Monson) and Cara Varga-Murphy (Sara West), the group decide to track the culprit down. What they don't realise is how much danger they could be putting themselves in… Elsewhere in Erinsborough, Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis) hits another rocky road with Terese Willis (Rebekah Elmaloglou), with conniving Chelsea Murphy (Viva Bianca) continuing to drive a wedge between them. Plus, Aaron Brennan's (Matt Wilson) holiday romance ends in disaster, and Jane Harris (Annie Jones) tries to build bridges with mum Amanda (Briony Behets). For all the hottest goss from Ramsay Street, I'm your man! Let's take a deep dive into next week's perfect blend of spoilers… Terese is uneasy by Darcy's suggestion that he extends his lease on No. 22., admitting to Susan that she needs it as security should her relationship with Paul end again. She's feeling more on the outer than ever before – especially following Chelsea's suggestion that baby Thomas take the Robinson family name. Ultimately, Terese offers the house to Darcy on a short-term lease, who realises that Chelsea has played a part in her decision. He decides to reveal all to her, who in turn informs Paul. He's taken aback. Has Chelsea been successful in driving a wedge between the couple? Elsewhere, Wendy breaks down to Nicolette after becoming convinced that Andrew is having an affair with Sandra. When he pops by Harold's Cafe, she decides not to confront her husband, as she's still coming to terms with the magnitude of his betrayal. However, when Sandra strolls past, Wendy can't contain herself. The accused openly admits to the affair – saying that Andrew had wanted to keep it quiet while he puts his affairs in place. When Wendy returns home, she unleashes her hurt onto him. Next door, Susan is frustrated and confused by Karl's growing tension towards Darcy. He is convinced that something sinister is going on with Amanda, and asks her whether Darcy has ever asked her for money. She's deeply offended by his question, and tells him that nothing of the sort has been proposed. Karl backtracks, and asks if their conversation could be kept quiet, and she agrees, considering that Darcy could get upset. However, after noticing that the pair had an undercover conversation, Darcy slyly finds out the truth and worries that Karl is getting to close to exposing his fraudulent behaviour. That evening, the effects of the opioids start kicking in and Karl feels drowsy and unsteady. Darcy suggests he helps him home, and sneakily reveal to Susan about her husband's 'drug abuse'… With Karl passed out in bed, Darcy feeds Susan his shocking side of the story, explaining that he kept Karl's 'addiction' a secret because he thought that he was on the mend. He offers to be the one to tell Terese, who is gobsmacked to learn that he has been dealing with residents while apparently under the influence. Darcy suggests that they search his office for more proof, and although Susan is against it, Terese agrees. Back on the street, Karl wakes up and Holly is concerned by his demeanour. He rushes to Eirini Rising, and is shocked to be given his marching orders. They've found more pills in his office, and he must stand down from his position with immediate effect. Karl is mortified, but Darcy insists that he tried to talk Terese around and that he has his back. Despite that, Karl is suspicious… Things are going from bad to worse between Andrew and Wendy, and he's stunned when she presents the evidence. He insists that the profile isn't his, and that Sandra is being catfished. Although the explanation sounds plausible, Wendy has her doubts and Nicolette doesn't help matters by suggesting that her husband is hiding his guilt. In a bit to clear his name, Andrew investigates some leads. He also tries to reach out to Sandra, but she doesn't respond. The copper then warns Nic against worsening Wendy's paranoia. Nic becomes more suspicious, and contacts the catfisher, arranging to meet him. Andrew is angry, but little do either of them realise, someone is watching from afar. Has she placed them all in danger? At the Day Spa, following Jane's ongoing concerns, Sadie decides to test Amanda's memory. The women continue to hit it off, but when Amanda forgets what they're talking about, Byron thinks she needs professional help. Feeling sentimental, Jane invites her mother on a trip to the Dandenongs and hopes that the family time will make a breakthrough. Aaron is sunning himself up on Hamilton Island, and enjoys some flirty poolside banter with a fella named Colton. During their chat, he decides to give himself a new persona – and poses as someone called Charlie. He also takes off his wedding ring, meaning that he won't have to bring up David's death. With the day progressing, and Colton opening up more, Aaron is guilt-ridden. When the lads head to a secluded beach, things become passionate, and they rush back to the hotel. Later, after sleeping together, Colton finds a picture of David and Isla in Aaron's wallet, as well as one from his wedding, and assumes that he's cheating. Aaron is then forced to come clean about his deception. Back in Erinsborough, Krista dwells on giving away her holiday vouchers and wants to plan something for herself and Leo. She enlists Taye to deck out the Piano Bar in French paraphernalia as a special surprise. When her husband arrives, she proposes a second honeymoon in Paris, followed by a tour of Europe and a vow renewal in Rome. This sounds like the perfect excuse to disappear for a certain Australian soap's 40th anniversary tour of the UK… Elsewhere, Andrew reluctantly agrees to help with Nicolette's risky plan to honey trap HotRod69, and brings along Cara for an extra set of eyes. The trio, alongside Wendy, head to the meet up spot and are dismayed that the catfisher has bailed. Nic can see via the dating app's location tracker that they're miles away, proving that Andrew isn't a cheater. Nicolette takes some responsibility for fuelling Wendy's worst fears, while Sadie is upset that her parents have faced another setback. As she recalls the story to her friends, Holly suspects that the person responsible could be Archie, JJ's classmate who was kicked out of the self-defence class for harassing Sandra. Andrew speaks with his colleagues, and they allow him to pursue the suspect. However, the group are being watched by someone else from the class – Phil Buffet. Is he the catfisher? Paul, having waited for the right time to ask Terese about her reluctant to give Darcy a long-term lease, wonders whether her reasoning is to provide back-up accommodation for Nell. Terese admits that she wanted to keep the property for herself should something go wrong, and he's hurt. She apologises, and is aware that she needs to build on her insecurities that have stemmed from Chelsea and Thomas' part in their lives. When the opportunity arrises for Terese and Thomas to bond, Paul snaps it up. Chelsea keeps up with her promise of an overnight stay, secretly hoping that it will cause some tension between the two. She then goes off to meet Jeffrey, who is keen to collect his blackmail money. Paul gets wind of the meeting, and is confused and angry. He makes it clear that he wants him nowhere near his 'son'. What's No. 22 worth to Juan Soto? At least $92,000

The New York Mets' newest all-star has proven he is an asset on the field, but on Thursday, he proved he has what it takes to be an all-star off, too. Brett Baty didn't exactly give Juan Soto the shirt off his back, but he did give him the number on it. And the superstar who will once again be wearing No. 22, turned around and gave Baty his dream car as a thank you for the gesture. Soto recently hopped boroughs after a near-championship with the New York Yankees, who let him go in a blockbuster deal that made some New Yorkers very happy — and others quite angry. The left fielder has been wearing No. 22 for the duration of his Major League Baseball career across multiple teams. Baty has been sporting it for the first three years of his career, according to Baty will now be dressed in No. 7, the outlet reported. Shortly after Soto signed with the Mets, the team's special assistant Eduardo Brizuela asked Baty if he'd be willing to give up No. 22. "It's just a number," Baty replied, according to Soto then texted Baty to let him know a gift would be coming. As it happens, Baty was in need of a new car. According to friend and teammate Mark Vientos had been teasing Baty for still driving the same 2016 Toyota 4Runner he did in high school. Soto learned that Baty had always had his eye on black-on-black SUV and dropped $92,000 to gift one to his fellow Met. Baty was none the wiser until traveling secretary Edgar Suero asked him for his insurance information Wednesday. And Thursday morning, when Suero told Baty to meet him in the players' parking lot, Baty spotted his new Chevrolet Tahoe, reported. View this post on Instagram A post shared by New York Mets (@mets) In a video of the moment shared to Instagram, Baty is seen walking out of a Mets facility. When he spots the car and Soto, he says, "no you didn't" with a smile. After dapping each other up, Soto and Baty approached the car — a black-on-black Tahoe with "Thanks for #22" written in blue marker on the back windshield and a red bow on the hood. "I told you I got you," Soto appears to say to Baty after a hug. "A little gift ... for the number." "It's all yours!" Soto told Baty. "You can drive it and everything," he said. Baty was thrilled with the gift. "This is sick, bro," he said. Soto then reiterated his appreciation for No. 22. "I really appreciate you for going out of your way. I wanted to give you something nice," Soto said. Baty then told Soto to "tell me how I look in the driver's seat." This article was originally published on
