Boots shoppers say 'miracle' £10 serum is better than luxury brand worth £65
Beauty fans will need to act fast, as the retailer's flash sale is only available until midnight. If there's one anti-ageing serum that has earned legendary status, it's Estée Lauder's Advanced Night Repair. However, at £65 for a small 30ml bottle, we're always on the hunt for an alternative. Fortunately, many beauty buffs have praised the L'Oréal Paris Age Perfect Cell Renew Midnight Serum as similar to the luxury brand, with some going as far as to say it offers "better" results. Initially worth just £35 for the same-size 30ml bottle, it's even cheaper after being included in Boots' £10 Tuesday deals today. So until midnight tonight, shoppers can save a staggering £25 off its own RRP, while also being £55 cheaper than Estée Lauder. However, the high street health and beauty chain's online exclusive deal is only available today, June 17, so skincare buffs only have a few hours before it goes back to full-price. L'Oréal's Midnight Serum is a powerful antioxidant recovery complex that works to support the skin's natural cell repair cycle, leading to a reduction in wrinkles, while also boosting firmness and radiance. L'Oréal Paris Age Perfect Cell Renew Midnight Serum, 30ml £35 £10 Boots Buy here Product Description Infused with hyaluronic acid, antioxidants from bitter orange and vitamin E, it claims to boast a "non sticky" and "melting" formula that protects against free radicals during the day, while boasting cell turnover during sleep to reveal younger-looking skin in the morning. Said to be suitable for all skin tones and types, results indicate that, in just one week, skin appears younger, brighter and more luminous, while a further four weeks highlight a reduction in wrinkles and a more radiant complexion. Since Boots' £10 deal on the Midnight Serum is only available for one day, another affordable 'dupe' available on the high street is the Revolution Pro Miracle Night Rescue Serum Advanced Complex (30ml) that costs just £12. Alternatively, the high street firm's own No7 Future Renew Night Serum, which is a new addition, might pose a more suitable alternative, and it only costs £39.95 for a 25ml. However, the L'Oreal Paris Serum remains a firm favourite with many shoppers, as it has earned a 4.7 rating from Boots shoppers who alone have hailed it as a "miracle in a bottle" that has made their wrinkles "go away." One five-star review read: "Love this serum, I've been using Estée lauder's night repair but honestly I think this one is better. My skin definitely feels more moisturised and as someone with very dry skin it's a must! Would definitely recommend!" A second Estee Lauder fan wrote: "Working well for me, [and I usually] use the Estee Lauder which is 3 times the price. Since I switched, I haven't noticed any difference, so it's as good as the expensive brand." Someone else delighted with the results said: "It's the best serum. I have never used a serum this good, it makes me look younger and it also makes my wrinkles go away. MUST BUY!" Beauty deal of the week Looking for last minute gift inspiration for dad ahead of Sunday, June 15. Then don't fret, as we have you covered, as no-one can go wrong with a new bottle of cologne, and we have spotted Versace's The Dreamer for him Eau de Toilette for 67 percent less at Superdrug. Hailed for being "underrated" and "truly unique", a large 100ml bottle of this fragrance has been dropped from £74 to £24, allowing you to make a huge saving of £50 and get in a thoughtful gift. Described as "warm" and "fresh", Versace's Dreamer is an aromatic fragrance that, while belonging to the cologne family, is said to boast a variety of notes that make it suitable for both men and women. The scent opens on vibrant notes of juniper, tarragon, and artemisia, before blending into heart notes of iris, lily and flax flowers to add a touch of softness. It then ends on a comforting base of tobacco blossom and amber, offering a smoky, luxurious finish. The transparent, clear fragrance itself is housed in an opulent glass bottle that has been embossed with the iconic medusa logo, representing the luxury aesthetic of the iconic fashion house. Versace's Dreamer EDT has managed to earn glowing reviews and a 4.6 rating from shoppers, with one saying: "Truly unique and dreamy fragrance. It's a great fragrance but it's underrated. Guys you have to try this one, it's great for all year round." And someone else wrote: "Not to be overlooked. This is a lesser known Versace men's fragrance but oh my it is gorgeous ! Hubby loved it and amazing value for money." Versace's The Dreamer For Him Eau de Toilette (100ml) can be bought for 67 percent less at Superdrug now. Not everyone has been a fan of the texture, as one disappointed customer added: "Unfortunately this wasn't right for me, I applied it a few times but the texture/feel didn't feel right for me and my skin didn't feel/look too different in the morning, also the texture felt a little sticky which I didn't like." Although, another fan praised: "What a miracle serum! Great product, comforting texture. I'm in my 50s and my skin needs something special. "After a few nights, my face looks younger, fine wrinkles are smoothed, the texture of the skin is clearly better. I am really delighted with the quality and price." The L'Oréal Paris Age Perfect Cell Renew Midnight Serum (30ml) is available in Boots' £10 Tuesday deals exclusively online for one day only.

Bestselling Boots No7 serum 'reverses signs of skin damage' while you sleep
Bestselling Boots No7 serum 'reverses signs of skin damage' while you sleep The No7 Future Renew Damage Reversal Night Serum is the bestselling skincare product on the Boots website. The No7 Future Renew Night Serum 25ml costs £39.95 (Image: Bethan Shufflebotham ) Health and beauty retailer Boots have made their own No7 brand a household name when it comes to makeup and skincare. Lately though, the brand has championed when it comes to making new innovative products. One of their latest - the Future Renew Damage Reversal Night Serum - rose to be an essential beauty product amongst skincare enthusiasts. When it launched in April this year, it sold one every seven seconds, making it the bestselling skincare product on the Boots website. For money-saving tips, sign up to our Money newsletter here Created with years of research with the University of Manchester, it's No7's most scientifically advanced night serum using chronotechnology to sync with your skin's natural overnight repair cycle. Another serum that uses similar technology is the Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum Synchronized Multi-Recovery Complex, which uses Chronolux Power Signal Technology, designed to enhance the skin's natural repair and renewal processes. Launched earlier this year, the No7 Future Renew Night Serum is proving popular with skincare fans (Image: Bethan Shufflebotham ) The No7 formula contains a world-first super peptide blend, designed to reverse visible signs of skin damage, including fine lines, wrinkles, uneven tone and texture, and dry skin, say Boots. It also includes Lindera Strychnifolia, a plant extract that helps strengthen the skin's internal clock and boost nighttime repair signals, alongside hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, vitamin C and E. Ahead of its launch, journalist Bethan Shufflebotham blind-tested the serum. She said: "Within two weeks, friends started commenting on how glowy my skin looked and by week four, I noticed a real shift - my usual redness had calmed down significantly, and the texture of my skin felt smoother and more refined." After using the serum for 10 weeks, my blemishes were reduced and my skin looked more radiant with better texture She added: "By the eight-week mark, my blemishes had reduced, my complexion looked more even, and my skin felt clearer and more resilient overall. "I enjoyed using it so much, I've kept it in my regular skincare rotation and find myself regularly reaching for it. I especially like the relaxing DreamScentz hypoallergenic fragrance, which is a really lovely way to wind down at the end of the day." Some people may still be looking for an anti-ageing product with a little more power behind it, though. In which case, Medik8's Crystal Retinal is an incredibly popular. Despite No7's serum not containing Vitamin A, Boots say it is clinically proven to reverse visible signs of skin damage in 100% of users, and has racked up some impressive reviews on the Boots website, too. One 86-year-old reviewer noticed visible improvement, commenting: "Really good. I am 86, but I'm sure there is a difference since using both serums ." Another wrote: "I'm heading for my mid-70s and I really can see a difference for the better - just wish it wasn't so expensive." Another said: "My skin feels and looks healthy. People have noticed my facial skin and asked me if I have been on holiday. I reply no and then they ask how I have attained such lovely skin." One shopper has been using the product for two months and said: "This is the only product that I used differently in my routine, so I know that this must be the one making the difference. My skin looks healthier and feels smoother, and my fine lines are less noticeable." The main criticisms the product has received, though, are regarding the price to product ratio. One wrote: "A very good product but the price for 25ml seems a bit steep. Doesn't last long at all and I've been very sparing." Another added: "I liked the product but after three weeks using it once a day it ran out. It did not last long enough to see if it did anything. I have never spent so much on a face product before." A 25ml bottle of the No7 Future Renew Night Serum comes in at £39.95, but shoppers can get double the amount of product for £49.95 with the 50ml tube. And, by stacking some current deals at Boots, shoppers could get it even cheaper, too. Article continues below It's also on three for two with the cheapest item being free, meaning customers can get three 50ml tubes for £94.90. And finally, anyone who uses the code REVERSE10 at the checkout can get £10 off, slashing the overall cost to £84.90 - averaging at £28.30 per tube.
