Road Work Alert: Watertown's California Avenue North
WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWTI) – Sewer work on a City of Watertown street may cause some delays for drivers. The city's Department of Public Works said that work on California Avenue North will take place starting at 8 a.m. Tuesday, April 22. The road will be closed between Huntington Street and Bronson Street, but the road should re-open by the end of the day. Drivers are asked to seek alternate routes or use caution while traveling in the area for the duration of the project. Brighton PD to take part in No Empty Chair campaign
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – The Brighton Police Department announced it will be participating in the No Empty Chair campaign in an effort to keep memorable spring events such as high school proms and graduations as happy and as safe as possible for teenagers and their families. Officers with the Brighton Police Department say motor vehicle crashes continue to be the leading cause of death and serious injury for those ages 16-20. The campaign runs April 21-25.
