Missing Leaf Rapids man hasn't been heard from in weeks: RCMP
Thompson RCMP is searching for a missing man who has not been heard from in weeks. Mounties say Noah Thomas, 23, was reported missing Monday. The Leaf Rapids man was last heard from May 30 while he was visiting a home in Thompson, police said. RCMP and Thomas' family are concerned for his well-being. He is described as five-foot-seven, 160 pounds, with black hair and green eyes. Police believe he is still in the Thompson area. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact RCMP or Crime Stoppers.

Texas A&M is expected to pursue Georgia State transfer wide receiver The spring football transfer window is still open. Texas A&M requires several additions at multiple positions to feel safe heading into the 2025 season. It starts with more depth at defensive tackle, followed by another veteran at safety, cornerback, and, yes, even wide receiver after the Aggies' tallest wide receiver, Noah Thomas, transferred to Georgia this offseason. On Wednesday, it was reported that standout Georgia State wide receiver Ted Hurst entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal. According to Rivals Aggie recruiting insider Landyn Rosow, Texas A&M coach Mike Elko will likely be "all in" on pursuing Hurst going forward. On paper, Hurst is a perfect fit regarding A&M's lack of size at the position. Standing at 6'3" and 185 pounds, he is a big target in the passing game. During his 2024 junior season with the Panthers, Hurst reeled in nearly 1,000 yards (961) and nine touchdowns through the air, averaging 17.2 yards per reception. He also played four 100-plus-yard games, led by his nine receptions and 173 yards during Georgia State's 27-20 loss to Arkansas State. Hurst is a No. 1 wide receiver talent, but would immediately end up contending for the No. 2 or 3 spot in Texas A&M rotation behind KC Concepcion, while Mario Craver, Izaiah Williams, Ashton-Bethel Roman, and Terry Bussey. After finishing 8-5 during Elko's first season, loading up at one of the more critical positions to provide starting quarterback Marcel Reed another reliable receiving option is key to taking the next step offensively. Erie man named in September federal indictment arrested
An Erie man named in a federal indictment back in September of 2024 and wanted by the FBI is now in police custody. Noah Thomas, 35, was taken into custody by Erie police Wednesday morning and was transported to the Erie County Prison. Over two dozen defendants indicted in Erie-based drug trafficking, firearm operations Back in September, an organized crime drug enforcement task force investigation brought charges against a total of 26 defendants for violations of federal narcotics and firearms laws, targeting a network of regional drug dealers. Thomas was one of those named but wasn't in custody at the time. Police investigating several shots fired at City of Erie home According to the U.S. Attorney's Office for Western District of Pennsylvania, Thomas was wanted for allegedly conspiring to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 50 grams or more methamphetamine and fentanyl.
