North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Trust is asking people to try an alternative to A&E if they need urgent care. This includes NHS 111, a local pharmacy, a GP practice, or an urgent treatment centre. The Cumberland Infirmary is particularly busy with a three to three and a half hour wait to see a clinician. In West Cumbria, they average wait time is one and a half to two hours.
