St. Johnsbury man charged with kidnapping
ST. JOHNSBURY, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) – State police arrested a man in the early hours of Monday morning after he reportedly fled with a young child.
According to Vermont State Police, they were investigating a report of a domestic fight that happened on Sunday and found that Robert Cennami, 42, of St. Johnsbury, had been involved in a 'physical altercation with a family member'. Cennami then left the house with one of two young children present.
He was found about 2:00 a.m. on Monday and taken into custody; the child was not injured. He is being charged with two counts of aggravated domestic assault and one count each of kidnapping, cruelty to a child, interference with emergency services, and reckless endangement.
Cennami was taken to the Northeast Regional Correctional Center and is being held without bail.
