New chief administrator selected for Northwest AEA

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — A new chief administrator has been selected for the Northwest Area Education Agency. The agency's board of directors picked Seth Piro for the position. Officials said in a release that the final interviews between Piro and Shari Blake were held Tuesday in a closed session. Rep. He has also served as a school board member, nonprofit leader, and volunteer. 'Seth brings exceptional vision and a tireless work ethic to educational leadership,' said Dr. Angelisa Fynaardt, Iowa Department of Education. Dr. Cindy Yelick of Heartland AEA added, 'His leadership has transformed how we support students across Northwest Iowa.' Northwest AEA's chief administrator to retire

LE MARS, Iowa (KCAU) — Northwest Area Education Agency (AEA) has unanimously accepted the retirement of its chief administrator. During Monday night's meeting in Le Mars, the agency's board of directors voted yes on Dan Cox retiring from his position. He's set to retire on June 30, which is the end of his contract. Sioux City council votes to amend Marina Dredging Project agreement In his resignation letter, Cox said it's been a privilege to serve the communities of northwest Iowa in the last seven years. Board members have decided to hold a special board meeting on April 14 to discuss the new candidates. That's anticipated to take place at 6 p.m. at Northwest AEA's Sioux City office.
