Whole Foods Market opens its newest Palm Beach County location west of Boca Raton
BOCA RATON — Whole Foods Market has added its seventh location in Palm Beach County, this one just west of Boca Raton.
The Austin-based grocer opened its newest Florida location on Feb. 11 at 9560 Glades Road in the Uptown Boca shopping center. The upscale development is near the intersection of Glades Road and State Road 7.
The new 35,000-square-foot store comes just months after the supermarket chain opened a location west of Boynton Beach in December 2024. Other locations in the county include Delray Beach, Boca Raton, West Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens and Wellington.
"We're excited to open our doors in West Boca Raton and offer a space that reflects the vibrant energy and unique tastes of this community," said Nick Ayoub, store team leader at Whole Foods Market. "This store is a celebration of Florida's incredible local producers and artisans, featuring fresh seafood, produce, and specialty items that highlight the best of the state."
The west Boca Raton store's product assortment includes more than 700 locally sourced items from Florida, according to a news release.
"We're proud to provide a shopping destination where customers can enjoy both exceptional service and a curated selection of high-quality products designed to meet their needs," Ayoub said.
Palm Beach Harvest, a food bank, received a food donation on opening day as part of Whole Foods Market's Nourishing Our Neighborhoods Program, which aims to aid in the transportation of food to areas in need. Previously, the nonprofit received a refrigerated van from the grocer, which makes regular surplus food pickups from Whole Foods Market stores to assist the community. Each donated van, according to a news release, has the capacity to rescue more than a million pounds of food — equating to over 866,000 meals — per year.
The new location includes a full-service seafood counter with sustainable options, a specialty cheese department, a curated grocery section, a full-service meat counter with custom cuts of steak and poultry, a bakery department and a prepared foods department with a hot bar, a salad bar and fresh sushi.
It also has a selection of more than 700 wines and 170 craft beers. Local beer suppliers include 3 Sons Brewing Co., Tripping Animals Brewing and Green Bench Brewing Co.
The West Boca Raton store is open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
