As per law enforcement agencies, Sridhar's list of ill-gotten properties include 19 prime residential plots, four flats, and a lavish villa. Nune Sridhar also allegedly spent crores of rupees on his son's destination wedding in Thailand, and also owns stakes in several hotels across the state, they said. Nune Sridhar owns property worth hundreds of crores On Tuesday, the ACB raided 13 locations linked to Nune Sridhar, and seized disproportionate assets allegedly owned by him, including a 4,500 square foot flat in the posh Sky High residential complex in Sheikhpet, Hyderabad, and three other flats in Karimnagar. According to the agency, Sridhar also owns a luxury villa in Tellapur near Hyderabad, three independent buildings in Warangal, Karimnagar and Hyderabad, 19 prime residential plots in the three cities, 16 acres of agricultural land and has stakes in several hotels in Karimnagar worth several crores of rupees, besides cash, jewelry and bank deposits, that are hugely disproportionate to his income. Sridhar involved in corruption case that toppled KCR govt As per reports, Nune Sridhar was involved in the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project, which is surrounded by allegations of corruption. The PC Ghosh commission, which is investigation the alleged irregularities in the project, has summoned former Telangana Chief Minister and Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) supremo K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR). Congress had flagged Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project corruption as a major issue in the 2023 state assembly polls, even as the then ruling BRS had refuted the allegations as baseless, claiming the project was built to promote the welfare of Telangana citizens. Meanwhile, Nune Sridhar has been charged in a disproportionate assets cases, the ACB said, adding that all his financial and property documents, as well as transaction records, are being thoroughly examined to detect potential benami holdings and corruption in irrigation contracts under his watch.

Authorities also traced a high-end 4,500 sq ft flat in Sky High, a luxury residential complex in Shaikpet, Hyderabad, in addition to at least three other flats in Karimnagar. Sridhar is also alleged to own a villa in Tellapur near Hyderabad, three independent buildings in Hyderabad, Warangal, and Karimnagar, 19 prime residential plots in these cities, and 16 acres of agricultural land. Commercial space at Ameerpet, stakes in several hotels in Karimnagar, two four-wheelers, gold jewellery, and significant bank deposits were also found during the searches. The ACB confirmed Sridhar's arrest, and he has been sent to judicial remand. The market value of the properties is expected to be much higher than the registered value. Further investigations are ongoing. Links to Kaleshwaram project Sridhar has also been involved in the controversial Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project, touted as the world's largest multi-stage lift irrigation initiative. The project has faced persistent allegations of irregularities and corruption. The former chief minister of Telangana and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) chief K Chandrashekar Rao has also been summoned by the PC Ghose Commission, which is investigating alleged violations in the project's execution. These corruption allegations had featured prominently during the 2023 Assembly election campaigns. A case of Disproportionate Assets was registered against him for acquiring properties through unlawful means and by misusing his official position. According to the Anti-Corruption Bureau, he is accused of 'indulging in unlawful practices and dubious means' during his were carried out at his residence and 13 other premises associated with him and his relatives. The Anti-Corruption Bureau stated that the high-value properties include a villa in Tellapur, a flat in Shaikpet, three flats in Karimnagar, commercial space in Ameerpet, and independent buildings in Hyderabad, Warangal and Karimnagar. In addition, 19 residential prime open plots and 16 acres of agricultural land were also found in Hyderabad, Warangal and Karimnagar. The bureau added that the market value of these assets is significantly higher than their officially recorded value. ACB nets Kaleshwaram project engineer with assets worth Rs 200 crore
KARIMNAGAR/HYDERABAD: Nune Sridhar, an executive engineer in the Irrigation department, was on Wednesday arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in a disproportionate assets case and sent to judicial remand. Sridhar has been serving as in-charge of the Gayatri and Nandi Medaram pump houses under the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme (KLIS). Sridhar's arrest came after the ACB conducted searches at 14 locations, including his residence in Karimnagar and properties belonging to his relatives. Officials said the EE amassed assets 'through unlawful practices and dubious means' while serving in various capacities, including his current post in Division No-8, SRSP Camp, Choppadandi, Karimnagar. The searches revealed that the accused had acquired these movable and immovable properties by abusing his official position, the ACB said. The searches are still going on. The unofficial estimate put the market value of the assets seized at around Rs 150 crore to Rs 200 crore. 'The market value is expected to be much higher than the official value,' the ACB release stated, adding that further investigation is in progress. Sridhar resides in a flat in Karimnagar city. ACB carried out searches at his relatives' houses in Jyothinagar in Karimnagar.
