Nottingham Forest announce retained list with fans in disbelief at players set to stay
NOTTINGHAM FOREST have announced their retained list - and fans are baffled that one player is still with the club. Nuno Santo's side enjoyed a stunning Premier League campaign in 2024/25. 3 The Portuguese boss masterminded a return to European football for the first time in three decades. Forest revealed their retained list on Monday ahead of a busy summer. Experienced centre-back Willy Boly has been offered a new contract at the City Ground. Former Wales international keeper Wayne Hennessey is also in talks with the club over extending his stay. But one forgotten name among the retained players jumped out to fans. Striker Emmanuel Dennis signed for the club in 2022 for £10million. He has made just 25 appearances across all competitions for Forest, scoring twice. Dennis spent last season out loan at Blackburn Rovers. The move followed temporary spells at Turkish club Istanbul Basaksehir and former side Watford. Dennis' contract runs until June 2026 - but some fans claim it is already time to move him on. Taiwo Awoniyi seen for first time since horror injury as he receives hero's welcome at Nottingham Forest vs Chelsea One fan fumed: "Can we just rip up the Dennis contract please and pay him off." Another agreed on X: "Financially, it makes sense to give Dennis away for free if anyone will take him." A third added: "Probably 10 of the retained list also need to depart this summer in some shape or form." Forest also penned an emotional goodbye to Harry Toffolo, who signed for the club in 2022. Toffolo is the only player to depart the City Ground on a free transfer this summer. 3 The full-back arrived from Huddersfield after Forest beat the Terriers in the Championship playoff final three years ago. A statement read: "Since his arrival from Huddersfield Town in 2022, Toffolo has made an invaluable contribution not only on the pitch, but also off it. "Last year, the 29-year-old was named as an ambassador for Tricky to Talk – Nottingham Forest Community Trust's mental health programme – having attended several Tricky Hubs and Bottled Up Blokes sessions, speaking about his own history with mental health whilst actively listening to participants who share similar struggles. "As he embarks on a new chapter, everyone at the Club sends their sincere thanks to Harry for his outstanding contribution to Nottingham Forest and wishes him every success for the future."

Gary Neville BANNED by Premier League club for last game of season with Sky Sports left fuming at decision
NOTTINGHAM FOREST have BANNED Gary Neville from the City Ground for their huge game with Chelsea on Sunday. Forest take on the Blues with a place in the Champions League up for grabs. 1 But Nuno Santo's side have sensationally requested Neville is not included on Sky's commentary team for the clash. According to The Mail, Forest have formally complained to Sky about Neville. They claim the former Manchester United defender bears a grudge against the club. The Sky pundit branded Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis "scandalous" after he invaded the pitch following a 2-2 draw with Leicester earlier this month. And he called on Nuno to QUIT the club following the incident. Neville posted on X: "Scandalous that from Forest owner. "Nuno should go and negotiate his exit tonight with him! The Forest fans, players and manager do not deserve that." Neville has chosen not to be part of Sunday's coverage. ‘That's why he's rich' – Fans only just realising what Marinakis was holding while ranting at Nuno on Forest pitch
EAGLE-EYED fans noticed Evangelos Marinakis was carrying a tech relic during his on-field rant at Nuno Santo. The Nottingham Forest owner stormed onto the City Ground field following Sunday's 2-2 draw with Leicester. 2 Marinakis was seen remonstrating with boss Santo after a late equaliser from the Foxes. The Greek owner later headed back towards the dressing rooms, before unleashing another verbal volley. But it was what Marinakis was clutching during the exchange that had social media talking on Monday. Fans noticed the billionaire was holding what appeared to be an iPhone 8, an edition of Apple's flagship phone launched in 2017 and discontinued in February 2020. One fan wrote on X: "Marinakis having a iPhone 8 & wire headphones is my favourite part of this whole exchange." Another laughed in response: "That's why he's rich." Sunday's draw secured Forest European football for the first time in over three decades. But results elsewhere mean qualification for the Champions League is now out of their hands. Nottingham Forest star Harry Toffolo reveals 'I might go throw up' after downing six pickle juices during Tottenham clash Marinakis's decision to invade the pitch was slammed as "scandalous" by Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville, who urged Nuno to QUIT. The Greek owner later released a statement clarifying the reasons behind his public frustration. It read: "Today is a day for celebration, because after 30 years Nottingham Forest is now guaranteed to be competing on the European stage once again – a promise I made to our supporters when we achieved promotion. "With two more games to go in the Premier League, we must keep believing and keep dreaming, right to the final kick in the final game. "We are extremely proud and close to Nuno and the team, and we must all celebrate the historic achievements of this season. "Everybody – coaching staff, players, supporters and including myself – we were frustrated around the injury of Taiwo and the medical staff's misjudgement on Taiwo Awoniyi's ability to continue the game. 'This is natural, this is a demonstration of the passion we feel for our club. "Let's all be grateful, passionate and keep on dreaming." SunSport exclusively revealed Marinakis continued his explosive rant in the tunnel at the City Ground, away from TV cameras. Eyewitnesses saw the Greek businessman lose his rag once more with Nuno, before also venting his frustration at Awoniyi and the Forest medical staff. Those who witnessed the incident felt it went far beyond what fans and TV cameras witnessed on the pitch.
