Rock singer cancels show after teen daughter's death
ROCK singer Rahmad Tohak said his life will never be the same after the devastating loss of his youngest daughter on Sunday, Harian Metro reported.
The 55-year-old vocalist revealed the heartbreaking news in a Facebook video post on Sunday, informing fans he had to cancel his performance in Betong, Sarawak, to return to his daughter, Nur Ara Elisya, 15.
'I'm sorry I won't be able to attend tonight. I'm now in Kuching en route to the airport.
'I just received news that my daughter has just taken her last breath. So I have to rush back to the peninsula. I apologise to the people of Betong,' he said while in tears during the video.
He told the daily that he would be handling his daughter's funeral arrangements, which will first see her body brought back home before being sent to a nearby surau for funeral prayers.
Earlier in February, Rahmad said that the late Nur Ara, who was also a special needs (OKU) child, had undergone spinal surgery at Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz to help fix her curved spine.
Her spine had been severely curved at 140 degrees as a result of the rare genetic disorder Prader-Willi syndrome, which can lead to a range of physical, mental and behavioural issues from birth.

> A man's simple act of kindness was returned with courtesy after he received money from a group of travellers who used the rubbish bin placed outside his barbershop, Kosmo! reported.
The man said he received a heartfelt note from the group, in which they politely apologised for using his rubbish bin.
This note was attached to a sum of money and was featured in a post by user @firdausbarbershop on TikTok.
He said the group were all women aged above 50 who had stopped to eat together in front of his shop and disposed their rubbish into the bin he placed outside his shop.
He said the women had been travelling by bus from Bukit Beruntung when they stopped at his barbershop for a while in Lumut, Perak.
'I had purposely placed that rubbish bin outside for the public to use, but I did not expect them to leave me money. It makes me feel happy to have helped travellers like them.
'To the sisters and aunties from Bukit Beruntung, thank you. Maybe they were worried I'd be angry,' he said in his TikTok post.
