Mobile man accused of child abuse
MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A Mobile man was arrested Monday on child abuse charges.

According to a Mobile Police Department spokesperson, Nykolas James Cooper, 26, was arrested on a charge of torture/willful abuse of a child under 18.
The MPD spokesperson said a report of suspected abuse led to the police department's child abuse detail beginning an investigation.
Cooper was taken to Metro Jail and is scheduled for a bond hearing on Wednesday, May 21.
