What began as makeup tutorials on YouTube in 2013 has grown into a full-blown beauty empire rooted in inclusivity - and at the helm is none other than the myth, the mogul: Patrick Starrr.
Many know the decorated Filipino makeup artist from his smash YouTube channel, where he has been sharing makeup tutorials and more for over a decade, amassing 4.58 million followers. The cult-classic brand started when Starrr was shopping at the mall back in 2016, 'I wanted to buy some clothes and, you know, being plus size, I couldn't find anything for me... and I said to myself, you know, I can't buy clothes, but I can buy makeup and makeup is a one size fits all.'
The internationally sold brand has continuously been a Sephora best-seller since its debut in 2020, with not just a reputation for quality but inclusivity as well.
Though today, ONE/SIZE is most known for its celebrity-loved On 'Til Dawn Waterproof Setting Spray, it was actually a makeup remover that came first. 'It was very unconventional to launch a makeup brand with a makeup remover. There was a lot of ironies there, but starting off with the clean canvas and showing who I was as a founder with no makeup was very powerful to me,' said Starrr.
Fans of the YouTuber turned beauty founder have remained loyal throughout the years, which Starrr attributes to his long-standing career behind the camera, 'I am the founder, I'm the face, and I'm the formula, and people resonate with that.' Via his millions of followers across all social platforms, Starrr has continued to expand his brand from influencer to Sephora must-have.
