ONF explores its identity in latest LP

ONF present deeper concept, music with second LP 'ONF: My Identity' Six-member boy group ONF made an ambitious comeback with its second LP, expanding its musical spectrum. "ONF: My Identity" comes approximately 10 months after the group's 8th mini album "Beautiful Shadow" in April 2024. Known for its versatility across various genres, the group once again delivers a diverse musical experience in this latest album. "This album embodies our unique healing energy. Since it's our first full-length album in four years after our 2021 LP "ONF: My Name," we've prepared an expanded performance. The album tells the story of a traveler finding their path while journeying through darkness,' explained Seungjun. "ONF: My Identity" consists of six tracks showcasing the group's wide-ranging musical spectrum. These include the main track "The Stranger," a pop song with funky rhythms and scatting sections; "Night Tale," an electro-funk track; "Nothing but a Stranger," an R&B song; "Anti Hero," which blends trip-hop and rock; "Good Place," a house track; and "Collab," which incorporates bossa nova sounds. Hyojin expressed confidence in the album, saying, 'Since the album is titled 'My Identity,' we've worked hard to make sure it truly reflects who we are as a group. For those who don't know much about us yet, this album will clearly show what ONF is all about.' Since its debut, ONF has consistently collaborated with producer Hwang Hyun. This time, the entire album was produced under Hwang's direction, with members Minkyun and Wyatt actively participating in songwriting and composition. 'This time, we worked closely with Producer Hwang from the very beginning of the album's production. Our involvement in the creative process was even greater than before. Since we've always pursued change from the start, we wanted to create songs that were completely different from our past releases,' shared Wyatt. When asked what sets ONF apart, Minkyun confidently stated, 'We're always researching and developing music that only ONF can create. That, in itself, is our distinguishing factor.' Celebrating the 9th year since its debut, ONF expressed its goal of connecting with more fans through a world tour. 'Our dream is to go on a world tour. We've done tours in Japan and North America, but we still haven't had many overseas experiences, so we really want to make it happen,' said Seungjun. They also emphasized their strong team bond and desire to continue their journey together for a long time. 'We really respect g.o.d. Even after all these years, they recently held a concert. We want to be like them, staying together as a group and making music for a long, long time,' said Minkyun.
