Arrest made Friday in Oakland armed robbery
(KRON) — The Oakland Police Department is urging for the public's help for information in an armed robbery case despite announcing an arrest on Friday. Car slams into 2 San Jose houses, driver flees scene OPD said its officers spotted an occupied vehicle in the 200 block of Hegenberger Loop, just before 1:15 p.m., that was tied to the crime that occurred Thursday in the 3700 block of Green Acre Road. Police said the victim was assaulted during that incident, and their belongings were taken by the suspect who drove away from the scene. 'Officers were able to safely detain the individual pending further investigation,' said Oakland police in a news release. This is an active case. 2 people shot in downtown Oakland
OAKLAND, Calif. - Police say two male victims were shot in downtown Oakland on Tuesday. Oakland shooting What we know The shooting happened on the 1400 block of Franklin Street. A spokesperson for the Oakland Police Department said officers were in the area when shots rang out just after 4:30 p.m. Officers located the two victims with gunshot wounds. The victims were taken to an area hospital for treatment by paramedics. What we don't know Police did not have further details about the shooting victims or the extent of their injuries. There was no word on any arrests or possible suspects. Crime scene investigation A KTVU cameraperson at the scene captured images of the fire department and police at the scene apparently searching for and collecting evidence. This shooting is an active and ongoing investigation, police said.

Oakland police officer punched by suspect at traffic stop light
(KRON) — The Oakland Police Department said a suspect was arrested after a 'completely unprovoked' assault of an officer. Video shows Tesla CyberTruck smashed and slashed at private Novato home The incident happened at 3:30 p.m. Friday in the area of International Boulevard and 104th Avenue. Oakland PD said two officers were traveling westbound — responding to an unrelated police call — when they stopped at a traffic light. While they were waiting for a green light, a suspect ran up to their marked patrol vehicle and started punching one officer through the open window, said police. Both officers were able to exit the vehicle and take the suspect into custody. The injured officer suffered swelling and lacerations during the incident. He was taken to a nearby hospital and released that same day, now recovering at home. 'Definitely a very concerning event for our members,' said Huy Nguyen, President of the Police Officers Association, in an interview with KRON4. 'It's completely unprovoked. This showed the level of dangers that not only our community members are facing every day, but our police officers.' Police have not identified the suspect. OPD continues search for missing 15-year-old girl
(KRON) — The Oakland Police Department said it is still looking for a missing 15-year-old — almost a month after they were last seen. Police believe the teen may be in San Francisco. Oakland PD said Maria Rios was last spotted on Feb. 27 in the 1600 block of Campbell Street. Rios is described as a Latina female, 5-feet-5-inches, with brown eyes. At the time of her disappearance, Rios had pink hair and weighed 120 pounds. It is not clear what she was wearing at the time. Oakland police arrest 2 in connection to kidnapping, robbery
(KRON) — The Oakland Police Department (OPD) said it deployed an emergency rescue vehicle (ERV) to arrest two individuals wanted in connection to a robbery and kidnapping.
