The comedian returns to the beloved Tony Hawk'sPro Skater franchise next month, with the remake of the third and fourth installations set to release on July 11.
Black first appeared in the remake of the first and second installments back in 2020, voicing—and modeling for—the character of Officer Dick. Now he's back, not only as Officer Dick—whose storyline has been tweaked from the OG to include a fun new character arc—but his British counterpart Constable Richard, as reported by to the game's publisher Activision, in his youth, the character "was mocked by other skaters and called a 'poser.' Overtaken by the need for revenge, Dick vowed to one day become what those skaters feared most – the long arm of the law!'
Director Kurt Tillmanns told the publication how excited they were to have the School of Rock star agree to come back after his "really fun" inclusion in the first remake. "We wanted to carry that forward; we were really thankful we reached out to him and he was down to come back, but we wanted to tell a little bit more of the Officer Dick story,' he added, revealing that Officer Tom, from Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4, has been replaced by Black's character for a rare moment of "intricate" character development, moving from a high school security guard to the campus security sheriff of a college. "We wanted to bring him back and put our own stamp on it in that way and we're really happy that he was absolutely game to do that.'Jack Black Set to Reprise 'Really Fun' Role in Upcoming Project first appeared on Parade on Jun 25, 2025
