BTS' Jin's Echo secures personal best 3rd spot on Billboard 200, Don't Say You Love Me sets eyes on Hot 100 debut
BTS' Jin has officially entered his main character era—and ARMYs are here for it. Since his return from military service, the worldwide handsome vocalist has been dominating headlines, and not just for his visuals or reunion teasers. BTS' Jin's second mini-album Echo, just dropped, and it's already rewriting the rules of solo success. On May 26, ARMYs woke up to the news that Jin had smashed a personal record. Echo debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart, with a solid 43,000 units sold in its first week. That's a huge leap forward for the BTS member's solo career, especially considering this is only his second mini-album. And that's not all. BTS' Jin' s influence is crossing borders. For the first time, his solo work entered the UK's Official Albums Chart Top 100, landing at No. 63 for the week of May 23-29. Speaking about the title track, Don't Say You Love Me, it is also doing damage—in the best way. It's expected to debut at No. 82 on the Billboard Hot 100, while securing the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Digital Song Sales chart with 15,000 digital downloads and a total of 29,000 in overall sales. That marks Jin's third time hitting the Hot 100, following his earlier solo hits The Astronaut (No. 51) and Running Wild (No. 53). Let's not forget the Spotify flex. Don't Say You Love Me also landed at No. 2 on Spotify's Daily Top Songs Global chart. Over in the UK, the single popped off on the Official Singles Chart Top 100 at No. 58 and even topped the Single Downloads, Single Sales, and Physical Singles sub-charts. With this, Echo has officially become BTS' Jin's highest-charting solo release ever, beating his previous peak with his debut mini-album Happy, which charted at No. 4 back in November 2024. And if all that wasn't exciting enough? BTS' Jin's about to take his solo era global -RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR. So yes, BTS' Jin is booked, busy, and booming. Blackpink announces world tour
Blackpink uploaded a teaser video hailing its return as a full group, via label YG Entertainment on Thursday. Details are yet to be announced, but the trailer promised the foursome's comeback after almost 1 1/2 years. Its previous yearlong tour 'Born Pink' spanned 34 cities across the world and amassed 1.8 million attendees. The 66 shows reportedly raked in $330 million, the sixth highest-ever for a female artist. The group's last album was its second LP 'Born Pink' in September 2022. The album set a first-week sales record for a K-pop girl group at over 1.5 million units and topped the Billboard 200 and the UK's Official Albums Chart Top 100. In the meantime, three of the quartet are releasing solo albums: Jisoo with the EP 'Amortage' on Feb. 14; Jennie with her first full album 'Ruby' on March 7; and Lisa with her first LP 'Alter Ego' on March 28. Infinite will close its tour with a two-day gig, agency Infinite Company said Thursday. The band will go live on April 12-13 at Inspire Arena in Incheon for the two final shows of its "Limited Edition" tour. The tour marks the 15th anniversary of the group's debut and began in December last year in Seoul with a sold-out three-date concert. The six members are set to perform in Singapore on Friday and will visit Yokohama, Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong through March 1. The band dropped the digital single 'Sad Loop' in time for Christmas, which will be part of its upcoming album expected to be released in March. Separately, main vocalist Nam Woohyun collaborated with singer and songwriter Kwon Soonkwan for 'Full Moon,' which was unveiled Wednesday.

BTS J-Hope poised for March return: report
J-Hope of BTS will release new music next month as a solo artist, according to a local media report Thursday. Big Hit Music confirmed the news, but did not offer additional details. His last solo effort was the special album 'Hope on the Street Vol. 1' in March last year, while serving his compulsory Army service. The six-track album inspired by street dance debuted on the Billboard 200 at No. 5 and ranked No. 38 on UK's Official Albums Chart Top 100, surpassing his first solo studio album, 'Jack in the box,' which was released in 2022. The LP topped iTunes top albums charts in 49 regions, while the tracks 'Arson' and 'More' were No. 1 on top songs charts in 62 and 84 regions, respectively. Both songs made Billboard's Hot 100, hitting No. 96 and No. 82, respectively. On Feb. 28, J-Hope will kick off his first solo tour with three days of live shows in Seoul. GOT7's Bambam leaves agency Bambam of GOT7 has parted ways with Abyss Company, the agency said Thursday. The two parties agreed not to renew the contract they signed in 2021 after a long discussion, according to the agency. Bambam has released three EPs and a full-length album as a solo act since 2021. The most recent album, third EP 'Bamesis,' topped iTunes top albums charts in 19 regions, as did lead single 'Last Parade' on top songs charts in nine. Meanwhile, GOT7 held a concert last week in Seoul, its first to feature all seven members in six years. The band performed songs from its 13th EP, 'Winter Heptagon,' which came out last month. The album debuted atop iTunes top albums charts in 27 regions.
