(Photo by) Later this month, Bruce Springsteen will release one of the most highly-anticipated musical projects of the year, as Tracks II: The Lost Albums is scheduled to arrive on June 27 and will feature seven complete full-lengths that fans have never heard before. In a surprise move, the rocker recently delivered an unplanned EP, and in its second week of availability, it has grown in popularity and on the charts across the ocean. The short collection has become an even bigger hit in the United Kingdom than when it first arrived just days ago. Land of Hope and Dreams appears on two charts in the U.K. this frame. It debuted on just one list last time around, after a truncated release window, as it arrived mid-week. This time around, the EP opens at No. 12 on the Official Americana Albums chart, earning Springsteen his sixth career placement on that genre-specific tally. Last frame, Land of Hope and Dreams entered inside the top 10 on the Official Albums Downloads chart, launching at No. 8. Now that its first complete tracking period has passed, the set moves up, though only slightly. This week, the EP reaches a new peak of No. 6. Land of Hope and Dreams is a brief, six-song EP recorded during the opening night of the latest leg of Springsteen's concert trek with the E Street Band. The singer-songwriter renamed the venture the Land of Hope and Dreams Tour when it began again in the U.K. last month. It seems that Springsteen decided to release the EP after making incendiary comments about American President Donald Trump. The leader responded on social media, disparaging Springsteen, and the rocker made sure to include his speech on the EP — a move that may have helped turn it into a bestseller. Springsteen fills a pair of spaces on both the Official Albums Downloads and Official Americana Albums charts, but with different releases. On the downloads-only ranking, Greatest Hits dips from No. 35 to No. 80 after a recent spike, seemingly tied to his Trump remarks. Over on the Americana-only list, Best Of slides from No. 1 to No. 5, coming in just a few spots ahead of Land of Hope and Dreams.

He began releasing music under his own name in the late 1960s, and ever since, he has remained a favorite among millions. The singer and songwriter is still hard at work and, in fact, much more prolific than many others his age, as he approaches 80. Young is known for delivering new full-lengths with regularity. Between studio recordings, re-releases, deluxe editions, live albums, and a bootleg series that just keeps growing, fans of the Canadian talent never have to wait long before getting their hands on brand new work. The country/rock/Americana musician is back on the charts with a new release this week in the United Kingdom — one that brings him close to the summit on multiple lists, and which even helps him score a handful of new top 10 wins. The soundtrack that accompanies Young's new documentary Coastal appears on three charts in the U.K. this week. It reaches the top 10 on two of them and only misses out on entering that coveted space on the third by a few spots. It seems that no matter what Young releases, fans are quick to buy. The Coastal project opens highest on the Official Americana Albums chart. On that list, which is specific to the genre in its name, Young enters at No. 6. As the set arrives, he earns his fourteenth career top 10. Only three of his projects that have landed anywhere on the tally have missed the uppermost region, which is a pretty impressive track record. The same title also barely breaks into the top 10 on the Official Physical Albums chart, which focuses exclusively on CDs, vinyl, and cassettes, regardless of the style of the music featured on the projects that hit the tally. Young starts Coastal at No. 10 on that roster, collecting his sixteenth career top 10 on this ranking. He has placed a total of 62 titles somewhere on the 100-spot list, so his percentage of top-tier placements isn't as high here as on the Americana-only list, though that's not surprising. Coastal also earns Young a new win on the Official Albums Sales chart. Although it doesn't land inside the top 10, the soundtrack kicks off its time at lucky No. 13 on what is arguably the most competitive of the three rankings it reaches this frame. The Coastal documentary followed Young as he returned to the road after COVID. The movie reached theaters in mid-April and was directed by his wife, Daryl Hannah, with whom he has worked before in this capacity. The project enjoyed a short run, grossing under $100,000 — a figure that's not unusual for this type of film. Clearly, it is also bringing in revenue thanks to its soundtrack, which has quickly become a bestselling release.

This week, it's clear that U.K. fans are still eager to consume his music — both old and 'new' — as they propel him back to the top of one list and help one of his biggest smashes reappear on another. Springsteen is back at No. 1 on the Official Americana Albums chart. The veteran rocker lifts from No. 3 to the summit with his Best Of compilation, which has been a strong seller in the U.K. since it dropped nearly a year ago. This latest rise helps him reclaim the throne for a sixth time. As Springsteen soars, last week's leader, Drive to Golden Hammer by Divorce, experiences a sharp fall. That title tumbles from No. 1 all the way out of the top 10, landing at No. 11. Best Of has proven to be a remarkably consistent performer on the Official Americana Albums chart. The compilation has now lived on the ranking for 48 consecutive weeks, and it has only slipped out of the top five once. This marks the sixth frame the retrospective has spent at No. 1 on this U.K.-based roster. It last ruled in January, and it has held strong inside the top four in every tracking period since then. As Best Of returns to No. 1, Springsteen sees one of his most beloved hits enjoy a second wind – well, more than second – in the U.K. 'Dancing in the Dark' makes something of a comeback on the Official Physical Singles chart, doubling its presence across the U.K. rankings this week. The single appears at No. 71 on the list this time around. The tally tracks the bestselling songs in physical formats like CD, vinyl, and cassette. This week is only the third time that 'Dancing in the Dark' has appeared on the physical-only chart throughout its lifetime. At the same time that it returns to this one roster, the tune is slipping elsewhere. It falls 12 spaces to No. 98 on the Official Streaming chart, barely hanging on as one of the 100 most-played cuts in the country.
