After the win, new Chicago Sky head coach Tyler Marsh spoke to the media about Dallas' talented roster. While they fell behind by double digits in the early going, Dallas rallied, primarily behind star scorer Arike Ogunbowale, who shot 6-for-7 from the field for 14 points in a critical third quarter that left the Wings with a five-point lead heading into the final period. Advertisement Chicago rallied for the win, though, and dropped Dallas to 1-5 in doing so. But the Sky win (their first of the season) came despite a raucous 37 points from Ogunbowale, who had the kind of breakout game the team has been waiting for. Ogunbowale averaged 13.8 points on 30.0% shooting heading into the Chicago game. She not only scored 37, but she was especially efficient in doing so, going 14-for-25 from the field and 6-for-12 from the 3-point line. The Wings announced that Ogunbowale not only had a game-high output, but she tied for the most points scored by anyone this season. "Ogunbowale's 37 points match the single-game high in the @WNBA this season," the team's PR account wrote. Ogunbowale was encouraged, but not satisfied.
